Las Vegas Welcome Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi
Meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers over a welcome dinner with wine at Mon Ami Gabi, a French-style restaurant on Las Vegas Boulevard. The gathering offers a relaxed introduction to the group in the heart of the Strip.
From its position beside Paris Las Vegas, the restaurant brings a touch of Parisian brasserie culture to a city known for theatrical settings. Share a meal and conversation while taking in the lights and energy of Las Vegas Boulevard.
Zion Canyon Narrated Open-Air Tram Ride
Ride a private open-air tram through Zion Canyon with live commentary on the park’s landscape. Follow Zion Canyon Scenic Drive beside the Virgin River, beneath towering cliffs of cream, pink and red Navajo Sandstone.
Look for landmarks such as the Court of the Patriarchs and Great White Throne, as well as cottonwoods and hanging gardens along the canyon floor. The narrated ride reveals how the river shaped one of Utah’s most distinctive national parks.
Bryce Canyon Hoodoos & Sunset Viewing
Explore Bryce Canyon’s natural amphitheatres with your Travel Director and look across dense clusters of hoodoos: slender rock spires rising from the basin. Learn how erosion and the weathering of iron-rich stone helped form their unusual shapes and colours.
Venture into the park’s wooded surroundings for sunset views of the changing orange and red rock. The contrast between darkening pines and illuminated stone makes this a memorable way to experience Bryce Canyon’s high-altitude landscape.
Bryce Canyon Dinner with Wine
Enjoy a three-course dinner with wine amid the surroundings of Bryce Canyon National Park. This hosted meal gives the group time to share their impressions of the park’s hoodoos, forests and broad desert views.
Staying inside the park lends the evening a quieter atmosphere than a meal in a nearby town. The setting, rather than a standard restaurant stop, is central to the experience: dining close to Bryce Canyon’s sculpted landscape.
Grand Staircase–Escalante Scenic Exploration
Take in the landscapes of Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, a vast protected area of cliffs, canyons and plateaus in southern Utah. Observe terrain that spans several ecological zones, from low desert to higher conifer forest.
The region also preserves evidence of the Ancestral Puebloan and Fremont peoples who lived in and travelled through these lands. Its layered rock formations offer a striking perspective on the geological and human history of the Colorado Plateau.
Capitol Reef National Park & Waterpocket Fold
Explore Capitol Reef National Park with your Travel Director, taking in colourful canyons, sandstone domes and the long ridge of the Waterpocket Fold. This nearly 100-mile geological feature gives the park its remarkable sequence of cliffs and valleys.
Look for petroglyphs and pale, dome-shaped sandstone walls among the red-rock formations. The park’s name reflects both its Capitol-like white domes and the rocky barriers that early travellers likened to reefs.
Arches National Park: The Windows & Double Arch
Visit Arches National Park’s Windows Section to see immense natural openings cut into the sandstone. View North Window Arch and approach Double Arch, whose two sweeping spans share a common foundation.
These formations are part of the park’s exceptional concentration of natural stone arches. Up close, the rock’s scale and weathered surfaces make it easier to appreciate how fractures, water and erosion have shaped this exposed Utah landscape over time.
Canyonlands National Park: Island in the Sky
Explore the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park on a sightseeing drive across its elevated mesa. Stop at lookout points, including Grand View Point, for wide views over red-rock canyons and the country carved by the Colorado River.
Standing roughly 1,000 feet above the surrounding landscape, the mesa provides a broad perspective on the park’s layered geology. Sandstone cliffs and distant canyon floors reveal the scale of this rugged part of the Colorado Plateau.
Mesa Verde National Park & Cliff Palace
Discover Mesa Verde National Park and view Cliff Palace, the largest known cliff dwelling in North America. Learn about the Ancestral Pueblo people who built communities within the sheltered alcoves of this Colorado mesa.
The park protects hundreds of cliff dwellings and other archaeological sites, making it an important place for understanding Ancestral Pueblo life. Viewing Cliff Palace beneath its sandstone overhang reveals both the skill of its builders and the setting they chose.
Monument Valley’s Forrest Gump Road View
Pause at the celebrated U.S. Route 163 viewpoint where a straight stretch of highway leads the eye towards Monument Valley’s distant buttes. Take photographs of the perspective made familiar by the film Forrest Gump.
The image is more than a cinema reference: the road frames the immense scale and spare forms of the surrounding desert. Red sandstone buttes against an open horizon create one of the American West’s most recognisable scenes.
Navajo-Hosted Monument Valley Cookout
Travel by open-air off-road vehicle to a Monument Valley cookout hosted with members of the Navajo Nation. Enjoy a barbecue-style dinner with the opportunity to taste traditional Navajo fry bread amid the valley’s red-rock buttes and mesas.
The experience offers a chance to connect with Diné hosts in the landscape they call home. Food, conversation and the desert setting give the evening a cultural dimension, while the visit supports employment within the local Navajo community.
Mystery Valley Tour with a Diné Guide
Explore Mystery Valley with a local Diné guide on a guided visit to a less-travelled area near Monument Valley. Look for Ancestral Pueblo archaeological remains, rock art and geological formations within its secluded desert terrain.
Your guide provides context for the petroglyphs and traces of earlier communities while offering a local perspective on the land. Views towards Monument Valley’s buttes add a dramatic backdrop to an experience focused on Indigenous history and place.
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park Off-Road Tour
Ride through Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park in an open-sided off-road vehicle with Navajo Local Experts. Travel deeper into the red-rock landscape and hear about Diné history, culture and heritage from people with a close connection to the valley.
The towering buttes and mesas have appeared in Western films, including Stagecoach and Fort Apache. Beyond their screen fame, these formations stand within a living Navajo landscape whose stories your guides help bring into focus.
Cameron Trading Post Visit
Visit the historic Cameron Trading Post, established in the early 1900s as a trading place where Native American residents exchanged wool and livestock for goods. Browse its selection of jewellery, baskets, pottery and artwork.
Set near the route to the Grand Canyon, the trading post reflects a long history of commerce in the region. It offers an opportunity to consider the craft traditions and trading relationships associated with communities of the surrounding Colorado Plateau.
Grand Canyon Desert View Drive & Watchtower
Follow Desert View Drive along the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, taking in changing perspectives on the canyon and Colorado River. At Desert View, see the historic Watchtower designed by architect Mary Colter and inspired by ancestral Puebloan architecture.
The tower includes artwork by Hopi artist Fred Kabotie. From this eastern part of the rim, views reach across the canyon towards the Painted Desert, connecting the river-carved landscape with the wider plateau.
Grand Canyon South Rim Experience
Experience Grand Canyon National Park from the South Rim, where viewpoints reveal immense layers of rock descending towards the Colorado River. Take time to look across the canyon’s ridges, side valleys and shifting colours.
The river and its tributaries have cut through a landscape that exposes a long record of Earth’s geological history. Standing at the rim makes the canyon’s breadth and depth tangible in a way no photograph can fully convey.
Grand Canyon Rim Trail Walk — Included Choice
Choose a relaxed walk along the Grand Canyon Rim Trail between Mather Point and Yavapai Point. This approximately 1.4-mile round-trip route offers repeated views into the canyon without a descent below the rim.
Look across the exposed rock layers and notice how the perspective changes as you walk. This included choice experience suits travellers who want to spend more time outdoors; an expert-led talk about the canyon is offered as the alternative.
Grand Canyon Geology & Wildlife Talk — Included Choice
Join Local Expert Canyon Tim for an informative talk about the Grand Canyon’s formation, rock layers and living environment. Learn how the landscape developed and what to look for when observing the canyon from its rim.
The discussion also introduces local plants and animals, including elk, mule deer and coyotes. This included choice experience offers a conversation-led alternative to the Rim Trail walk, with insight that can enrich your own views of the park.
Grand Canyon South Rim Dinner
Dine overlooking the Grand Canyon’s South Rim at the Thunderbird Room, with a three-course dinner and wine. The canyon provides the setting for a hosted evening meal rather than a conventional dining stop.
As the light changes over the rock layers, the view draws attention to the scale of the landscape beyond the rim. Sunset colours across the canyon give this meal its distinctive sense of place.
Dixie National Forest Horseback Ride
Choose a one-hour horseback ride in Dixie National Forest near Bryce Canyon for a different perspective on southern Utah’s wooded terrain. Travel at a riding pace through a landscape of pines and high-country scenery.
The ride offers an active contrast to viewing the region from park roads and overlooks. This is an optional experience at additional cost, bookable on tour; ask your Travel Director about availability, price and any riding requirements.
Grand Canyon Scenic Flight
See the Grand Canyon from the air on an optional helicopter or fixed-wing sightseeing flight. An aerial viewpoint reveals the canyon’s branching side valleys, broad plateau and the vast scale of the river-carved terrain.
The flight offers a striking comparison with the views available from the South Rim, bringing the landscape’s patterns into focus. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour; flight options and operation are subject to local availability and conditions.
