Explore Perth with a Local Specialist, taking in skyline views across the Swan River before strolling the Western Australian Botanic Garden in Kings Park. Wander among eucalypts and seasonal orchids on the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, where city towers give way to birdsong and bush fragrances.

Gain context for this remarkable green space, home to more than 3,000 native species and over 70 bird varieties. Hear how Indigenous knowledge and modern conservation shape planting and interpretation, and admire vistas from Fraser Avenue as the city and river unfold beneath the escarpment.

Visit a regional distillery for a behind-the-scenes tour of copper stills, barrel rooms, and fragrant botanicals. Learn how small producers craft characterful gins and liqueurs, then sample small-batch spirits that showcase native botanicals such as lemon myrtle, quandong, and saltbush.

Discover how Western Australia’s climate and coastline influence flavor, from mineral-rich waters to sun-ripened citrus. Chat with the team about sustainability and sourcing, and refine your palate as you compare notes on aroma, finish, and balance across the tasting flight.

Step onto the Kalbarri Skywalk, cantilevered 25 metres beyond the rim and 100 metres above the river, to survey the sweeping bends of Murchison Gorge and striped sandstone cliffs. Breathe in desert air, feel the updrafts, and pause for photos and reflection over a landscape carved by time.

Be welcomed by an Indigenous guide with a powerful Welcome to Country. Hear stories of Country, taste or smell bushfoods in season, and learn how medicinal plants and rock formations encode knowledge, deepening understanding of this remarkable place.

Visit the Lynton Convict Depot, established in 1853, and wander among convict-era limestone buildings set against windswept scrub and coastal light. Hear accounts of warders, ticket-of-leave men, and settlers who laboured in this remote outpost.

Discover how the depot supported nearby Port Gregory and how quarrying, ration stores, and cottages reveal the practical rhythms of early colonial WA. Interpretive displays and weathered stonework bring frontier hardships and resilience into sharp focus.

Marvel at Hutt Lagoon, where high-salinity waters can bloom shades of pink and lilac along the shore. Wander select viewpoints to frame wind-rippled colours against white salt edges and cobalt sky—an irresistible photo stop for striking compositions.

Learn how algae thriving in saline conditions create the lake’s pigment and why hue and intensity shift with sunlight, cloud, and tide. This natural theatre rewards patience as the natural colour shift transforms the scene from pastel to saturated brilliance.

Pay respects at the HMAS Sydney II Memorial overlooking Geraldton, honouring the names of the 645 sailors lost in 1941. Stand beneath the soaring dome and pause for reflection as the coastal breeze moves through this solemn site.

Hear how Australia’s worst naval tragedy shaped maritime memory, and read symbolic details—an evocative Waiting Woman sculpture, sweeping forms that nod to the ship at sea—crafted to ensure remembrance while connecting visitors to the ocean’s horizon.

Join a Local wildflower specialist to explore Coalseam Conservation Park and the Mullewa region, where season-dependent carpets of everlastings and delicate orchids thrive. Learn to identify blooms and understand their ecology, with time to appreciate seasonal wildflower displays at a relaxed pace.

Visit the Helen Ansell Art Gallery to see native flora translated into vivid contemporary artworks. Gain insight into traditional uses of plants for food and medicine, and how Yamatji Country informs both scientific study and creative expression across the Midwest.

Walk among the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park, weaving between thousands of limestone spires rising from saffron sand. Trace subtle curves and shadows on an otherworldly landscape, and tune in to wind, silence, and shifting light as you explore.

Discover how ancient seashells compacted into limestone and were sculpted by groundwater and coastal winds over millennia. Viewpoints and sandy paths invite unhurried wandering and thoughtful photography, revealing textures and formations from every angle.
