Additional information

On day 2, enjoy a free day to dip into the resort’s programme. Test your aim as you take aim in archery and rifle shooting or try crossbow, then switch pace to try croquet and short mat bowls. Outdoors, follow self-guided coastal walks and cycling routes, or simply soak in the indoor pool and sauna with the bubble pool easing tired limbs.

Set above the Solent with glimpses to the mainland, gardens and lawns invite a gentle amble; join the informal grounds tour to learn about coastal planting and the property’s story. Collect route maps for the Isle of Wight Coastal Path and nearby lanes. Activities are arranged on arrival and may be subject to availability and minimum numbers under Warner’s terms.

Each evening, gather in the theatre-lounge to enjoy live cabaret as comedians and singers take the stage, backed by polished house musicians and occasional tribute acts. After dinner, settle into club-style seating, order a nightcap, and soak in the lounge-bar atmosphere while the show unfolds.

In Warner’s adult-only setting, the focus is on quality performance and relaxed fun. Expect a varied programme across the two nights—from light-hearted stand-up to numbers you can dance to classic hits—enhanced by professional sound and lighting that brings a little theatre sparkle to the coast.

Dinner is included on both nights in the resort restaurant, where you savour seasonal menus served buffet-style or by your waiter. Look out to sample regional produce such as Isle of Wight tomatoes, garlic and coastal fish, alongside well-loved British favourites that pair nicely with a glass from the bar before the evening show.

Mornings begin with a hearty cooked breakfast and continental selections—grilled island mushrooms, cereals and fresh pastries—to set up your day for activities or the optional coastal tour. Bright dining spaces and attentive service create a relaxed rhythm so you can linger over coffee, then enjoy a free morning by the sea.

On day 2, join a scenic coastal drive to explore Newport, the island’s capital. Stroll between Georgian and Victorian squares, admire the John Nash–designed Guildhall, and wander the historic quayside on the River Medina, with time to browse speciality shops. This is an optional excursion at additional cost (£12pp) and bookable on tour.

Continuing along the Ventnor scenic coastal route, the coach skirts downs and cliff-top lanes towards Alum Bay and the legendary Needles. Pause for photos and reflection over the coloured sands of Alum Bay, the chalk spine of Tennyson Down, the Needles Lighthouse and the cliff-top Victorian Old Battery—a classic panorama that defines the island’s west.

Begin day 1 as you board the ferry to the Isle of Wight and settle on deck to cruise the Solent. Watch low green shores slip by and feel the sea breeze as you pass saltmarsh creeks and the shingle spit crowned by Hurst Castle, before gliding into pretty Yarmouth Harbour on the island’s west coast.

This short sailing has long been the island’s maritime gateway; Henry VIII’s Hurst Castle once guarded these waters, and Yarmouth’s Victorian pier still welcomes arrivals today. On your return crossing at the end of the break, take a final moment to pause for photos and reflection over wide views towards the Needles and the New Forest shoreline.

Warner Isle of Wight Entertainment Break

On our optional excursion, we enjoy the best of both worlds, with a visit to Newport, the bustling capital of the island and a scenic drive to experience the magnificent views along the coastline from Yarmouth to the Needles. Newport is a picturesque town centre with two squares surrounded by elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture. Take the chance to explore the historic quayside or browse the selection of speciality shops here. Today, we also travel on the Ventnor scenic coastal route to the Needles. We stop to admire the magnificent views of the legendary Needles; the three towering rocks rise up from the sea to form the postcard picture of the island.
