Half Day

Warner Entertainment Break – Norton Grange Coastal Village

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and board the coach for the journey home.

Wander the picture-book lanes of Shanklin Old Village, where thatched cottages, tea rooms and flower-decked facades create a timeless island scene. Drift down to the shoreline to stroll the seafront promenade and watch waves roll onto the broad, golden-sand beach backed by dramatic cliffs.

Absorb the restful rhythm of a classic English resort, browse local boutiques and take in clifftop vistas that sweep across Sandown Bay. The blend of heritage streets and open coast delivers a classic holiday atmosphere with plenty of gentle, do-as-you-please exploration.

Try your hand at hosted pursuits at the resort — try your hand at archery and rifle shooting, roll a frame of indoor short mat bowls, or take to the lawns for croquet. In friendly, small-group sessions, hosts guide technique and provide equipment, keeping the focus on light-hearted fun and confidence-building.

Between sessions, join a hosted grounds tour to learn about the coastal setting near Yarmouth and the gardens that frame seaside lawns overlooking the Solent. The programme’s variety and the resort’s relaxed adults-only setting make it easy to find an activity that suits your pace.

Settle in for nightly shows as you enjoy live evening entertainment from singers, musicians, comedians and guest performers. The resort theatre-style venue pairs comfortable seating with bar service, creating the perfect setting to unwind after a day by the coast.

Expect a rotating bill of cabaret and comedy that nods to the classic British holiday tradition while spotlighting contemporary talent. Whether you prefer toe-tapping tunes or laughter-filled sets, there’s always one evening that becomes your favourite.

Unwind between outings with complimentary access to the resort’s leisure facilities. Glide through the indoor heated swimming pool, release tension in the sauna, and sink into the soothing warmth of the bubble pool for an easy reset.

Set within the coastal calm of Norton Grange, this restful interlude pairs gentle wellness with sea air and quiet corners to lounge. It’s a simple, soothing way to restore energy and ease into the island’s unhurried rhythm.

Experience the island’s contrasts on a guided circuit featuring a photo stop at Alum Bay for The Needles, where chalk stacks rise from turquoise water above cliffs streaked with coloured sands. Scenic country roads reveal rolling downs, hedgerows and glimpses of secluded coves.

Continue to Newport’s historic streets, the island’s county town, before finishing at Yarmouth’s waterfront, with its Tudor castle and harbour views. This optional full-day excursion is at additional cost and bookable on tour, offering curated highlights without the planning.

Explore the island’s largest resort as you stroll Ryde’s elegant seafront and long sands, with time to wander the arcades and independent shops. Take in sweeping views across the Solent and amble along Ryde Pier—England’s oldest seaside pier—where the sea breeze and gull calls set a classic coastal scene.

Discover the town’s Victorian charm around Union and High Streets, pause in waterfront cafés, and pause for photos and reflection by the esplanade gardens. This relaxed coastal visit showcases traditional seaside character with plenty of room to curate your own perfect few hours by the shore.
