Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre
Explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre in the national park, where galleries introduce the living culture of the A?angu, the Traditional Owners of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Browse displays that offer insight into the landscape and its cultural significance.
You may also have the opportunity to see local Aboriginal artists at work. The centre offers valuable context for understanding the places visited throughout the park, where stories, knowledge and responsibility for Country remain deeply connected.
Guided Uluru Base Walk & Mutitjulu Waterhole
Explore the base of Uluru with a local guide and take a gentle walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Along the way, see rock art and learn how the guide interprets the significance of sites in this landscape.
Hear about A?angu Tjukurpa, the foundational knowledge and stories that connect people, places and responsibilities to Country. The waterhole, sheltered by Uluru’s towering rock walls, offers a close-up perspective on a landscape that is both culturally significant and ecologically important.
Uluru Sunset with Sparkling Wine
Watch sunset over Uluru from the designated viewing area, with time to relax and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine. As the light lowers, the rock’s surface can shift through warm shades of ochre, rust and deep red.
The open desert setting gives you space to take in Uluru’s changing colours and distinctive silhouette. It is a quiet, scenic way to appreciate the scale of the monolith within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Kata Tjuta Dune Viewpoint & Walpa Gorge Walk
Discover Kata Tjuta’s 36 domes from a dune viewing platform, where the southern side of the formation stretches across the desert. Explore Walpa Gorge on a 1.3-kilometre trail following a natural creek between two of its tallest domes.
The walk brings you close to the domes’ ancient conglomerate rock and the sheltered gorge environment. Expect uneven ground on this moderate-grade trail; the experience combines a sweeping view of Kata Tjuta with a more intimate look at its remarkable geology.
