Uluru Sunrise at Talinguru Nyakunytjaku
Watch the first light reach Uluru from Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the designated sunrise viewing area. Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee as the desert brightens and the sandstone formation emerges in the morning light.
The early hour brings a quieter perspective on Uluru and the surrounding landscape. Broad views allow you to appreciate its scale while the shifting light reveals subtle changes in colour across the rock and desert plain.

Uluru Cultural Centre
Explore the Uluru Cultural Centre within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, where galleries introduce the culture of the local A?angu people. Browse displays that offer insight into their enduring connection to Country, and look out for local Aboriginal artists at work, if they are present during your visit.
The centre offers a valuable introduction to the living cultural traditions associated with Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Time spent here helps place the landscape’s rock formations, stories and sacred sites in a deeper context.
Uluru Base Tour & Mutitjulu Waterhole Walk
Explore the base of Uluru with a local guide and take a gentle walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Hear Tjukurpa stories associated with the landscape as your guide interprets the rock art and sacred sites visible along the route.
Set against Uluru’s sandstone walls, the waterhole is a place of cultural significance to the local A?angu people. Guided interpretation brings meaning to features that might otherwise be easy to overlook and offers a respectful way to encounter this ancient landscape.
Uluru Sunset with Sparkling Wine
Watch sunset over Uluru from the designated viewing area, with time to relax over a glass of sparkling wine. As daylight fades, observe the rock’s surface shift through warm reds and deeper tones against the open desert sky.
Uluru’s changing appearance is shaped by the angle of the light and the texture of its sandstone. The viewing area provides space to take photographs or simply pause and take in the scale of this culturally significant landmark.
Kata Tjuta Views & Walpa Gorge Walk
Discover Kata Tjuta’s 36 domes from a dune viewing platform overlooking their southern side, and explore Walpa Gorge on a 1.3-kilometre walking trail. The path follows a natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes, bringing you close to their imposing rock walls.
Kata Tjuta’s rounded formations are made of conglomerate rock, giving them a texture distinct from Uluru. The gorge walk crosses uneven ground and requires moderate fitness, rewarding walkers with a close-up perspective on this significant desert landscape.
