Explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre within the national park. Browse galleries that introduce the living culture of the A?angu, the Traditional Owners of Uluru and Kata Tjuta, and learn how they care for Country.

The displays offer context for the landscapes you will visit, including the significance of Tjukurpa, A?angu law and creation stories. You may also have the opportunity to see local Aboriginal artists at work.

Explore the base of Uluru with a local guide, hearing Tjukurpa stories connected to the immense sandstone formation. Take a gentle guided walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole, a sheltered place where water can collect among the rock’s folds.

Along the way, your guide interprets Aboriginal rock art and sacred sites, helping you understand their cultural significance. The walk offers a close perspective on Uluru’s textured surface and the enduring relationship between A?angu and this landscape.

Watch sunset over Uluru from the national park’s designated viewing area. Settle in with a sparkling wine as the lowering sun shifts the rock’s appearance through warm ochre, red and deeper evening tones.

Beyond the changing colours, the experience reveals the scale of Uluru against the open desert sky. There is time to pause for photographs and quiet observation as daylight fades across the surrounding landscape.

Take in panoramic views of Kata Tjuta’s southern domes from a dune viewing platform, then explore Walpa Gorge on a 1.3-kilometre walking trail. The path follows a natural creek bed between two of the formation’s tallest domes.

Kata Tjuta comprises 36 rounded domes formed from ancient conglomerate rock. Walking between their steep walls brings their scale and texture into focus. The Walpa Gorge trail has uneven surfaces and is graded moderate.
