Float along a Bohol river at night to watch fireflies illuminate the mangroves. From the boat, look for tiny points of light gathering around the trees while the dark water reflects the surrounding vegetation.

This quiet nature experience reveals a different side of Bohol from its beaches and daytime landscapes. The number and brightness of fireflies vary naturally, but the stillness of the river and the chance to observe them in their habitat are central to the outing.

Contiki

Explore Simala Church in southern Cebu, a striking pilgrimage site with castle-like towers, ornate details and spaces for quiet reflection. Walk through the grounds while your Trip Manager shares the story behind its importance to local worshippers.

The church is associated with devotion to the Virgin Mary and stories of healing. Its elaborate architecture and active religious life offer a distinctive glimpse of faith in the Philippines.

Walk through lush surroundings to a tropical waterfall in Cebu, where you can explore the cascades and, if conditions permit, swim in the cool water. The visit brings you close to the jungle scenery beyond the island’s coastline.

In Moalboal, join your Trip Manager for an orientation walk through this laid-back coastal town. Get your bearings among its small streets and beachfront gathering places, with a sense of the local atmosphere before exploring independently.

Snorkel in Moalboal’s clear coastal waters for a chance to see the sardine run: immense schools of fish moving together in shifting, silver formations. Keep watch for sea turtles as you explore the marine environment near Panagsama Beach.

The outing also takes in white-sand coastal spots, with Pescador Island named among the tour’s highlights. Wildlife sightings depend on conditions, but Moalboal’s unusually accessible underwater life makes this a compelling experience even from the surface.

Taste lechon, one of the Philippines’ best-known celebratory dishes, at an included local lunch in Cebu. Roast pork with crisp skin is a particular point of regional pride, and sharing it gives this meal a stronger sense of place than an ordinary travel stop.

Enjoy the flavours with your group while discovering a food tradition closely tied to family gatherings and fiestas. It is a chance to encounter Filipino hospitality through a dish many locals consider a centrepiece.

Ride through Bohol’s countryside by tuk-tuk, passing forested stretches and rural scenery on a full-day exploration. Visit the Chocolate Hills to view the island’s distinctive rounded limestone mounds, which turn brown in the dry season.

At a tarsier sanctuary, observe these tiny, wide-eyed primates while learning about efforts to protect them. The tour combines Bohol’s best-known landscape with a closer look at the wildlife that makes the island distinctive.

Tour The FRMCY in Bohol to learn what grows on the farm and how its team works with organic, pesticide-free methods. Hear how the project began during the pandemic and connects its harvest with produce from nearby villages.

Sit down to an eight-course farm-to-table lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients, accompanied by juices and teas. The visit makes the connection between Bohol’s agricultural landscape and the flavours on your plate tangible.

Head out from Panglao on a half-day snorkelling boat trip to explore Bohol’s colourful marine world. Swim above coral habitat, watch tropical fish move through the water and keep an eye out for passing turtles.

The captain selects suitable local spots according to conditions and coastguard guidance, so the precise route can vary. That flexibility keeps the focus on enjoying the clearest, safest opportunities available on the day.

Set out by boat for a full day of island hopping around Boracay, with opportunities to snorkel and enjoy clear water, beaches and sheltered coves. The featured stops include Puka Beach, Magic Island and Crystal Cove Island.

Each setting shows a different aspect of Boracay’s coast, from Puka’s shell-strewn shoreline to rocky island scenery. Time on the water and ashore makes this a varied way to experience more than the island’s best-known beach.

Enter Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park by boat and float into a limestone cave system shaped over immense stretches of time. Look up at formations rising from the rock as the river carries you beneath the landscape.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site protects a remarkable underground river that flows towards the sea. Travelling through the cave reveals the scale, textures and quiet atmosphere of one of Palawan’s defining natural landmarks.

Share a home-style Filipino meal at Nanay Elena’s House near Port Barton, prepared with fresh, locally grown ingredients. Rather than a routine restaurant stop, this hosted lunch offers a taste of cooking rooted in household traditions.

Enjoy the food in a welcoming local setting and discover how familiar ingredients become comforting regional dishes. It is an opportunity to connect Palawan’s produce with the people and everyday food culture of the area.

Explore the islands off Port Barton by private boat, stopping to snorkel over reefs, swim and spend time on tropical shores. Watch for sea turtles in the water and visit a sandbar known for its starfish.

A locally cooked meal adds a taste of the area to the day at sea. Port Barton’s island-studded coastline and quieter atmosphere make this an intimate way to experience Palawan’s beaches and marine life; wildlife encounters cannot be guaranteed.

Visit a local workshop in Port Barton for the chance to make your own rings and bracelets. Work with your hands on a personal keepsake while learning from the people who run the workshop.

This small-scale creative experience offers an alternative perspective on the coastal town beyond its beaches. Taking part supports a local enterprise and leaves you with something shaped by your own time and attention, rather than a ready-made souvenir.

Travel by colourful private jeepney to explore the landscapes around El Nido. Walk the seaward footpath at Lio Beach, visit Bulalacao Waterfalls and feel the sand beneath your feet at expansive Nacpan Beach.

The outing also visits Las Cabanas for sunset, when fading light settles over the coast. Combining a familiar Filipino mode of transport with beaches, freshwater scenery and an evening viewpoint, it showcases several sides of northern Palawan in one organised experience.

Spend time at The Isla Experience Special Stay, a rustic island retreat that connects travellers with local culture and community initiatives. Learn about work involving marine conservation, education and an eco garden, and snorkel in the surrounding clear water.

Explore a nearby shipwreck site associated with Second World War history, with visibility and conditions shaping the underwater experience. A buffet of local flavours and a beach bonfire round out this hosted island stay.

Opt for a scuba dive off Panglao to see Bohol’s marine environment from beneath the surface. Whether you are already certified or trying diving for the first time, this is a chance to explore beyond the views available while snorkelling.

Panglao is known for its reef habitats and tropical marine life; the precise dive experience depends on conditions and your certification or introductory-dive requirements. This optional activity is at additional cost and bookable on tour.
