Contiki

Meet your fellow travellers over an included welcome meal in Cebu City. It is a chance to get acquainted with the group and your Trip Manager while sharing a table at the start of your island-hopping journey.

Cebu is a gateway to the Visayas, and gathering over food offers a fitting introduction to the warmth of Filipino hospitality. The restaurant and dishes are not specified, so the emphasis is on the hosted occasion rather than a particular menu.

Explore Simala Church in southern Cebu with your Trip Manager and hear why this elaborate sanctuary draws pilgrims from across the Philippines. Take time to walk through its grounds and examine the church’s striking, castle-like architecture.

Also known as the Monastery of the Holy Eucharist, Simala is associated with devotion to the Virgin Mary and stories of healing. Its importance as an active pilgrimage site gives the visit a perspective beyond its remarkable appearance.

Walk through lush scenery to a tropical waterfall during the journey across Cebu. Spend time beside the cascade, with a chance to trek nearby or swim if local conditions allow.

The cool water and dense greenery offer a contrast to the island’s coastal landscapes. The itinerary does not name the waterfall or guarantee its characteristic turquoise colour, leaving room for the conditions encountered on the day to shape the experience.

Get to know Moalboal on an orientation walk with your Trip Manager. Explore the layout of this laid-back Cebu coastal town and get your bearings among its shoreline streets and places to eat.

Moalboal is best known for the marine life found remarkably close to shore. An introduction on foot helps connect the town’s relaxed everyday atmosphere with the reefs and snorkelling sites that make it a draw for ocean lovers.

Snorkel Moalboal’s clear coastal waters in search of its celebrated sardine run: dense, shifting schools of fish that move together beneath the surface. The included outing also features coastal spots such as Pescador Island and Panagsama Beach, with a chance to see sea turtles.

What makes Moalboal distinctive is how accessible its marine spectacle can be from shore. Wildlife sightings vary, but the combination of reefs, fish and open-water views makes this a rewarding introduction to Cebu’s underwater world.

Glide along a Bohol river after dark on a boat trip to watch fireflies gather in the riverside trees. Look towards the mangroves and the locally known Mother Tree as small points of light flicker against the night.

This quiet wildlife experience reveals a different side of Bohol from its beaches and countryside landmarks. Fireflies are living creatures, so their numbers and visibility depend on natural conditions, but the still river setting is part of the appeal.

Ride through Bohol’s countryside by tuk-tuk, taking in forested stretches and hanging bridges before visiting the Chocolate Hills. See the unusual spread of rounded limestone mounds that has become one of the island’s defining landscapes.

At a tarsier sanctuary, look for the tiny, wide-eyed primates and learn about efforts to protect them and their habitat. The excursion pairs Bohol’s distinctive geology with a closer understanding of one of its most vulnerable native animals.

Tour The FRMCY’s organic farm in Bohol and learn how its team grows produce without pesticides. Hear how the project began during the pandemic and see the connection between its fields, nearby villages and kitchen.

Settle in for an eight-course farm-to-table Filipino lunch, accompanied by juices and teas. Ingredients grown on-site or sourced locally bring the farm’s approach directly to the plate, making this as much an introduction to sustainable food production as a meal.

Take a half-day boat trip from Panglao to snorkel among tropical fish and colourful coral. Your captain selects suitable local sites with coastguard guidance, so the route responds to the conditions on the water.

Panglao’s surrounding seas are part of Bohol’s rich marine environment. Watch the reef carefully for small fish and, with luck, a passing turtle. Specific sites and wildlife encounters cannot be guaranteed, keeping the focus on exploring the underwater landscape safely.

Spend a day island hopping around Boracay, with visits to Puka Beach, Magic Island and Crystal Cove Island among the planned stops. Swim or snorkel where conditions permit, and take in the clear water, coves and contrasting shorelines.

The excursion goes beyond Boracay’s best-known beach to reveal quieter coastal scenery and smaller island settings. There is time to enjoy the water as well as the views, making it a varied way to explore the area by boat.

Cruise into the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, entering a limestone cave system by boat. Look up at the varied rock formations as the navigable river carries you beneath the forested landscape.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site protects an exceptional meeting of cave, river and coastal ecosystems. The underground river extends towards the sea, though the visitor cruise covers only a portion of it. The experience offers a close view of the geological forces that shaped Palawan.

Share a home-style Filipino meal at Nanay Elena’s House near Port Barton. Enjoy dishes prepared with fresh, locally grown ingredients in a setting centred on the comfort and generosity of a home-cooked lunch.

Rather than a routine restaurant stop, this hosted meal offers a personal introduction to local food traditions. It is an opportunity to taste familiar Filipino flavours in the kind of setting where recipes and hospitality are part of everyday life.

Explore the islands off Port Barton by private boat, stopping to swim and snorkel along reefs and tropical shores. The outing includes a locally prepared meal and time around a sandbar, with a chance to spot sea turtles in the water.

Port Barton’s island-dotted coastline feels quieter than Palawan’s larger resort centres. Reef colours, beaches and open sea views give the trip its character; encounters with turtles and the exact conditions at each stop remain dependent on nature.

Make your own ring or bracelet at a local workshop in Port Barton. Work on a small piece of jewellery to take home while spending time with the people behind the craft.

Unlike a conventional souvenir stop, this included activity gives you a hands-on role in creating your keepsake. Supporting a local workshop also adds a personal connection to the coastal community, with an object that recalls the place and the time spent making it.

Explore El Nido in a colourful private jeepney, visiting Lio Beach, Bulalacao Waterfalls and Nacpan Beach. Walk Lio’s seaward footpath, take in the waterfall’s rocky setting and feel Nacpan’s long sweep of sand beneath your feet.

The excursion also includes sunset at Las Cabanas, where views open across the water and nearby islands. Travelling by jeepney brings a distinctly Filipino element to a day focused on the varied landscapes around El Nido.

Experience a rustic island stay built around time with the local community. Learn about initiatives connected to marine conservation, education and an eco garden while enjoying the beachfront setting.

This MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience links the pleasure of staying beside Palawan’s clear water with the work involved in caring for an island home. An included buffet-style dinner of local flavours and a beach bonfire add a convivial close to the evening.

Snorkel off the coast of your island Special Stay and explore a nearby shipwreck site. Look through clear water at the wreck and the marine environment around it while hearing about its connection to World War II.

Palawan’s waters hold traces of wartime history alongside thriving sea life. Seeing a wreck from the water brings those stories into a tangible setting, combining historical curiosity with the sensory experience of snorkelling from an island base.

Explore remote islands by private boat on a multi-day marine safari towards Coron. Snorkel over reefs, visit white-sand beaches and sandbars, and watch for turtles, reef fish and other marine life. Planned highlights include the Turtle Islands, distinctive rock formations and a stop at Kayangan Lake.

Two nights at an island beach camp bring seaside dinners, a bonfire, local music and stargazing into the experience. Weather, tides and sea conditions determine the exact route; sightings of dugongs or other wildlife are possible, not guaranteed.

Opt for a scuba dive off Panglao to explore Bohol’s marine world below snorkelling depth. The itinerary presents this as an option for both certified divers and those interested in trying diving for the first time, subject to the available arrangements.

Coral, tropical fish and the sensation of moving through open water make diving a different way to experience the island’s reefs. This optional activity is at additional cost and bookable on tour; ask your Trip Manager about availability and requirements.

Choose a scuba dive among Coron’s Japanese World War II shipwrecks. These submerged vessels have made the area a renowned wreck-diving destination, offering an encounter with history beneath the surface.

Dive sites and access depend on conditions, operator arrangements and your qualifications; some wrecks require appropriate experience. This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour. Check with your Trip Manager for available dives and any certification requirements before committing.
