Rabat’s Royal Heritage, Mohammed V Mausoleum and Hassan Tower
Discover Rabat’s royal and spiritual landmarks with a view of the Royal Palace and a visit to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where the king and his two sons are buried.
Admire the mausoleum’s Alaouite craftsmanship and nearby Hassan Tower. The 12th-century minaret marks the site of an ambitious mosque that was never completed, giving Rabat one of its most recognisable historic silhouettes.
Meknès’ Bab el-Mansour Gate
Pause at Bab el-Mansour on Place El-Hedim to admire the monumental gateway to Meknès’ imperial city. Its great arches and ornamental tilework convey the scale of the ambitions behind this former Moroccan capital.
Built under the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail and completed in the 18th century, the gate remains a powerful expression of imperial architecture. View its decorated facade while noting that restoration work may affect access or visibility.
Traditional Moroccan Feast in Fes
Enjoy a Moroccan feast in an ancient palace near Fes’ Medina, with local dishes served alongside live music and folkloric entertainment. The setting makes dinner an introduction to the city’s hospitality rather than simply an evening meal.
Expect the layered flavours associated with Moroccan cooking, from fragrant spices to savoury-and-sweet combinations. Music and performance enliven the palace atmosphere, offering a distinctive cultural experience in one of Morocco’s historic cities.

Dades Valley Landscapes and Nomad-Home Visit

Visit a local nomad home and share Berber tea, with traditional pancakes described among the tour’s premium experiences. The welcome offers a personal perspective on local hospitality amid the valley’s distinctive landscape.
Ouarzazate City Orientation
Explore Ouarzazate on a city orientation, taking in its red-earth streets and desert-edge setting. The town’s scenery and light have made it a longstanding centre for film production in Morocco.
Learn why Ouarzazate and its surroundings have provided backdrops for international films while noticing the architecture of a settlement on the route through southern Morocco. See the setting behind its ‘film capital’ reputation without assuming entry to a studio or film set.
Ksar of Aït Benhaddou
View and photograph the Ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified earthen settlement recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its clustered houses, defensive walls and corner towers rise above the surrounding landscape in a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture.
