Norwich City Visit & Cathedral Quarter
On day 3, head to Norwich and enjoy a free afternoon exploring one of England’s most complete medieval cities. Stroll the cobbles of Elm Hill, wander the independent boutiques of the Norwich Lanes and admire the colour-splashed roofs of Norwich Market. Follow the River Wensum for quiet views, or seek out the looming Norman keep of Norwich Castle.
Don’t miss the chance to step inside Norwich Cathedral, whose Romanesque nave and graceful cloisters sit beneath the second tallest spire in England. The city’s flint-fronted churches and timbered merchant houses trace a story from Norman conquest to wool-trade prosperity, creating an atmosphere that invites you to pause for photos and reflection before returning to the coast.
Thursford Christmas Spectacular & Festive Village
On day 2, travel into rural Norfolk and browse the ‘olde worlde’ village of shops at Thursford, filled with hand-crafted ornaments, festive gifts and seasonal trimmings. As the lights dim, take your seats for the Thursford Christmas Spectacular — a high-energy celebration where traditional carols and chart-topping favourites meet lavish staging and glittering costumes performed by a cast of over 120.
Staged amid twinkling forests and towering Christmas trees, the production showcases precision choreography, rich choral harmonies and the resonant sound of the mighty Wurlitzer organ. Set near Fakenham, the show grew from the Thursford Collection founded by George Cushing, famed for its steam engines and fairground heritage — the perfect Norfolk setting to pause for photos and reflection on the season’s spirit.
Performance times vary by date (matinee or evening). When an evening performance is scheduled, lunch replaces dinner at the hotel that day.
