Arrive in Paris and board the ship in the late afternoon; enjoy free time in Paris if you arrive earlier. Dinner is served on board.

Cruise along the Seine past Mantes-la-Jolie, La Roche-Guyon and the Normandy countryside. At Les Andelys, discover the story of Château Gaillard, built by Richard the Lionheart in the 12th century. Optional excursion: visit a Vexin Normandy farmhouse, explore its apple orchard and presses, and taste cider and local produce; this can be combined with a shorter visit to Château Gaillard.

Take a guided tour of Rouen, including its Gothic cathedral and Place du Vieux-Marché. Cruise past the ruins of Jumièges Abbey and moor in Caudebec-en-Caux. The ship’s wheelhouse may be visited by arrangement. After dinner, hear singers perform music inspired by the 1940s and post-war jazz-swing era.

Sample Normandy’s terroir at a traditional dairy, where Protected Designation of Origin classics—Camembert de Normandie, Livarot, Pont-l’Évêque and Neufchâtel—are explained before you sample regional cheeses with notes of orchard and cellar.

Travel through apple country to a coastal estate for cider and calvados tastings, including pommeau and fresh juices. Time in Lisieux invites a look at its basilica and timbered streets, rounding out a portrait of rural craftsmanship.

Explore the butte on a guided tour of Montmartre, riding a petit train to the gleaming Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Linger on the steps or climb the dome for panoramic views over Paris. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Between ivy-clad stairways and café terraces, discover the quarter’s bohemian heritage—artists’ studios, music and market squares—set against the basilica’s white domes.

Visit Monet’s House and Gardens in Giverny, where rose-framed paths lead to the Japanese bridge and water-lily pond immortalized in Les Nymphéas. Wander under willows and bamboo as reflections scatter in shifting greens and silvers.

Gain insight into the artist’s pursuit of the play of light across seasons in the vibrant Clos Normand. When the garden is closed, your visit features the elegant Château de Bizy, famed for fountains and salons nicknamed the “Versailles of Normandy.”

Choose to join a panoramic coach tour past the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower, Trocadéro and Musée d’Orsay, or opt to walk the historic Right Bank from Place des Vosges via Hôtel de Ville and the Île de la Cité to the Louvre and Tuileries.

Trace layers of Parisian history from medieval islands to Haussmann boulevards, with Seine vistas and café corners at every turn. Signature viewpoints and expert context bring the City of Light into sharp focus.

Reflect on 1944 at the solemn Bayeux War Cemetery before exploring the gun casemates of the Longues-sur-Mer battery. Continue to Arromanches and Gold Beach, where remnants of the Mulberry harbours still mark the tide and shoreline.

At the British Normandy Memorial, the sweep of sand meets names etched in stone. Landscapes of quiet fields and hedgerows frame stories of courage and logistics, linked by Pegasus Bridge and the coastal road.

Unwind after dinner with live music on board as a trio channels the close-harmony swing of the 1940s. Order a nightcap, settle into the lounge, and let melodies carry across the river’s hush.

In Paris, an accordionist performs classic French chansons, adding Left-Bank romance to the evening. The intimate sets create an elegant after-dinner mood perfectly matched to the City of Light.

Travel into the countryside to visit a cider farm with tasting among apple orchards and presses. Learn how apples become crisp ciders, juices and liqueurs, then compare styles in a guided flight. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Meet the family behind the craft and hear about pruning, pressing and barrel-aging traditions. The outing can pair with a shorter stop at Château Gaillard for a flavorful, well-balanced afternoon.

Glide beneath landmark bridges on a sightseeing cruise on the Seine, with English audioguide illuminating the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame, Musée d’Orsay and Île de la Cité. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

From the water, the city’s historic bridges, quays and palaces align in harmonious perspective—especially evocative at dusk as monuments glow and ripples catch the light.

Ride Europe’s fastest elevator to the 56th-floor Montparnasse Tower observation deck for 360° rooftop views across Paris, with the Eiffel Tower perfectly framed. Entrance is at additional cost, payable locally; the visit can be booked on board.

Interactive kiosks help you pick out landmarks, while the 360 Café offers drinks or a sweet treat should you wish to linger over the skyline.

Walk Honfleur’s cobbles on a guided walking tour around the postcard-ready Vieux Bassin, where fishing boats and sleek yachts nestle beneath slate-fronted houses. Step into the timber-built Église Sainte-Catherine, its double-nave roof recalling the town’s shipwright heritage.

Follow the seaside light that drew Boudin and Monet through lanes lined with studios, crêperies and seafood bistros. Between quayside chatter and gull calls, Honfleur blends Normandy tradition with a gentle bohemian spirit.

Explore Château Gaillard, the cliff-top stronghold that commands the Seine above Les Andelys. Wander the outer bailey and limestone curtain walls as wind traces arches and arrow slits, all set against panoramic views over the Seine and its looping bend.

Commissioned by Richard the Lionheart in the 1190s, the fortress endured sieges and decline, leaving dramatic ruins that reveal concentric defenses and a deep dry moat. It’s a vivid encounter with medieval power, framed by chalk bluffs and forest.

Join a guided city tour of Normandy’s capital to admire the lace-like facade of Rouen Cathedral, the gilded clock of the Gros-Horloge, and half-timbered lanes that open into the poignant Place du Vieux-Marché.

Hear how Monet painted the cathedral’s shifting light, how the 19th-century spire once ranked among Europe’s tallest, and how Joan of Arc met her fate nearby. Markets, bookshops and bistros knit together a city where Gothic grandeur meets riverside bustle.

Cruise the sinuous Seine through Normandy’s pastoral heartlands, tracing sweeping meanders beneath white chalk cliffs and past bocage orchards and half-timbered farms. From the deck, villages like La Roche-Guyon drift into view as you cruise the River Seine amid tranquil, ever-changing scenery.

This historic waterway once carried monks, merchants and monarchs; today its serenity frames glimpses of the Jumièges Abbey ruins and wooded hills alive with birdlife. Set a wide angle and pause for photos and reflection as Normandy’s soft light plays across the river.
