Shanga Social Enterprise Visit
Visit Shanga in Arusha, a social enterprise that trains and employs Tanzanians with disabilities. Walk through its workshops to see weaving, glassblowing, beading, papermaking and metalwork, including pieces crafted from recycled materials.
Meet the skills and people behind the finished work while learning how the project supports meaningful employment. This MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience connects a hands-on craft visit with a long-running community initiative in northern Tanzania.
Tarangire National Park Game Drives & Sundowner
Explore Tarangire National Park on guided game drives through savannah and riverine woodland. Look for elephant herds, giraffe and other wildlife among the park’s distinctive baobab trees, with drives in the cooler morning and late-afternoon hours.
The Tarangire River draws animals through this landscape, particularly in the dry season. On a late-afternoon drive, pause for a sundowner in the bush as the light changes across the plains and wildlife continues to move nearby.
Private Bush Breakfast in Tarangire
Enjoy a private breakfast in the Tarangire bush, served outdoors in an exclusive wilderness setting. Gather with your small group over a meal surrounded by the sounds of the landscape rather than the bustle of a dining room.
Open savannah and nearby woodland give this breakfast its distinctive safari atmosphere. Take time to watch and listen for wildlife moving through the surrounding bush while experiencing a quieter, more intimate side of Tarangire National Park.
Gibb’s Farm Estate Tour & Farm-to-Table Lunch
Tour Gibb’s Farm near Karatu to explore its gardens, coffee fields and working farm, where fruit, vegetables and herbs grow on the fertile highland slopes. Sit down to a farm-to-table lunch shaped by produce from the estate.
Founded in the 1920s, this historic coffee property offers a close look at the agriculture that has long been part of life around the Ngorongoro Highlands. The visit connects the meal on your table with the land where its ingredients grow.
Hadzabe Community Encounter at Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi lies on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. This encounter offers an opportunity to learn directly about the Hadzabe’s relationship with its landscape, rather than viewing their traditions solely as a part of the region’s past.

Insight Choice: Guided Karatu Village Walk
Walk through a Karatu village with your Driver Guide as one of two included Insight Choice experiences. Explore a community shaped by local markets, farming and a mix of people living near the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Picnic
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across grassland and other habitats enclosed by steep caldera walls. Look for wildlife drawn to the crater floor by year-round water and grazing, and enjoy a picnic lunch within this striking volcanic landscape.
The world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera is one of Tanzania’s most concentrated safari settings. Its enclosed terrain brings geology and wildlife into the same sweeping view, from open plains to lake water beneath the crater rim.
Serengeti National Park Game Drive
Explore Serengeti National Park on a guided game drive, scanning open plains, rocky kopjes and river lines for lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra and antelope. Time spent moving through the park reveals how wildlife activity varies across its habitats.
The name Serengeti derives from a Maasai word often translated as “endless plains.” This vast ecosystem is shaped by seasonal movement and the search for water and grazing, making each sighting part of a larger wildlife landscape.
Lake Duluti Coffee Plantation Tour
Tour the working coffee plantation at Lake Duluti Lodge near Arusha to learn about a crop long grown in northern Tanzania’s highlands. Explore the farm setting and gain insight into the plants and work behind a familiar cup of coffee.
