Visit a working pearl farm beside the sheltered waterways of Broken Bay and learn how pearls are cultivated, harvested and prepared. Discover the care and patience behind a gem formed within a living oyster.

This coastal visit offers a close look at Australia’s pearl industry in a setting of tidal inlets and bush-fringed shores. It connects the finished pearl with the people, water and practical skills involved in producing it.

Taste wines at acclaimed Hunter Valley wineries and discover the styles that have made this New South Wales region a fixture of Australian wine culture. Sample local wines in cellar-door surroundings while learning about the vineyards and the character of the wines in your glass.

The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine region, particularly associated with Semillon and Shiraz. Its warm climate, long winemaking history and vineyard-dotted countryside give each tasting a strong sense of place.

Explore Hunter Valley Gardens, an award-winning attraction with ten themed gardens. Wander through landscaped spaces that shift in colour, planting and design, from formal displays to more playful settings.

Set among the Hunter Valley’s wine-country scenery, the gardens offer a different perspective on the region beyond its cellar doors. Take time to notice seasonal blooms and carefully composed views as the paths lead between distinct garden styles.

Sample local cheeses and chocolates as an optional way to explore the Hunter Valley’s food scene. Compare flavours and textures from regional producers, whether you prefer something savoury, something sweet or a little of both.

The experience offers a different taste of the valley alongside its established wine culture. This optional activity is at additional cost and bookable on tour; your Tour Director can advise on available tasting opportunities during your stay.

Unwind with a spa treatment during your time in the Hunter Valley. Choose a restorative pause amid the region’s vineyard scenery, with the treatment and facilities depending on the option available.

This experience is designed for travellers who would like a quieter complement to winery visits and sightseeing. It is at additional cost and bookable on tour, subject to availability; ask your Tour Director about treatment choices and prices.

Discover more Hunter Valley cellar doors beyond the winery tastings included in the tour. An additional visit gives wine enthusiasts the opportunity to seek out other producers and sample a wider range of regional styles.

Known for Semillon and Shiraz, the valley has a long tradition of winemaking expressed across wineries of different sizes and characters. Additional cellar-door experiences are at extra cost and bookable on tour, subject to local availability.

Explore Richmond, a historic Hawkesbury town with streetscapes that recall early European settlement in New South Wales. Browse the town centre at your own pace and take in its relaxed regional character.

Founded in the early nineteenth century, Richmond is one of the Macquarie Towns established along the Hawkesbury River. Its historic buildings and country-town atmosphere make this a worthwhile pause between the Hunter Valley and the Blue Mountains.

Take in the views from Govetts Leap Lookout near Blackheath, where the Grose Valley opens into a vast sweep of sandstone cliffs and forest. The elevated viewpoint reveals the scale of the Blue Mountains’ deeply carved landscape.

Look across layered ridgelines and eucalyptus-covered slopes that stretch toward the horizon. This is a scenic stop centred on the view itself, offering space to appreciate the rugged terrain that defines this part of the mountains.

View the Three Sisters from Echo Point in Katoomba, one of the Blue Mountains’ most recognisable panoramas. See the three sandstone formations rise above the forested Jamison Valley, with escarpments and distant ridges extending beyond them.

The formations are associated with Gundungurra cultural stories and are an enduring landmark of the region. Echo Point’s broad outlook makes it a place to appreciate both the distinctive rock shapes and the scale of the surrounding valley.

Spend time in Leura, a Blue Mountains village known for its boutiques, cafés and leafy streets. Explore at your own pace, browsing local shops or pausing to enjoy the cooler mountain air.

Leura’s garden-village atmosphere offers a gentle contrast to the region’s dramatic lookouts. Its streets and independent businesses make it a pleasant place to experience the everyday character of a mountain community.

Explore Sydney Zoo and encounter a collection of more than 250 animal species, including Australian wildlife and animals from around the world. Walk through the zoo’s habitats to see a varied range of creatures at your own pace.

This visit adds a wildlife experience to a journey shaped by vineyards and mountain scenery. Look out for native Australian species alongside the zoo’s wider collection, gaining a closer view of animals you may not encounter in the wild.
