Markermeer Scenic Cruise & Huizen Harbour Stroll
Settle in to cruise the Markermeer aboard your river ship, gliding across the inland lake once part of the former Zuiderzee. Reedbeds, church spires and skimming waterbirds pass in slow panorama as you relax on deck beneath big Dutch skies.
Wander the Huizen harbour, where fishermen’s cottages and restored wooden botters evoke a life shaped by nets and tides. Narrow quays, bobbing masts and the tang of brine invite you to pause for photos and reflection before rejoining the ship.
Keukenhof Spring Gardens Visit
Explore Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, where over 7 million bulbs bloom around lakes, woodland glades and artful pavilions. Follow curving paths past tulip ribbons, scented hyacinths and mirror-bright water features designed for unhurried wandering and photography.
Hear the story of Dutch tulip mania and how each display is replanted for a brief spring crescendo. Enjoy time to roam themed gardens and quiet corners as colour, fragrance and birdsong set a serene pace.
Zuiderzee Museum Open-Air Heritage Tour, Enkhuizen
Visit the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen, an open-air village of relocated buildings—from fishermen’s cottages to a working shipyard. Walk cobbled lanes, meet costumed interpreters, and watch sailmaking, net mending and fish smoking brought to life.
Learn how the Afsluitdijk of 1932 turned the saltwater Zuiderzee into today’s lakes, reshaping livelihoods and landscapes. Step aboard a historic botter to sense the tight weave of sea, craft and community at the heart of Dutch coastal life.
Amsterdam Historic Canal District Walking Tour
Join a guided walking tour through Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal ring, tracing merchant houses with ornate gables, arched bridges and mirrored waterways. Slip into quiet courtyards and lively streets as bikes hum past and cafés spill onto the cobbles.
Hear stories of the Dutch Golden Age, Rembrandt’s studios and poignant chapters linked to the Anne Frank House. Dam Square, the Royal Palace and Westerkerk ground a compact city shaped by trade, tolerance and design.
Farewell Evening Onboard with Live Guitar Performance
Savour farewell drinks in the lounge before a live guitar performance sets an easy rhythm for your final evening on board. Melodies drift through the salon as conversation flows and the city glows beyond the windows.
This relaxed gathering, hosted by your Cruise Director, pairs regional flavours with music and good company, offering a reflective close to your Dutch journey as city lights shimmer on the water and stories from the week find their encore.
Zaanse Schans Windmills & Craft Workshops Guided Visit
Discover Zaanse Schans on a guided tour, where green-painted houses line the Zaan and sails turn above the water. Step into working windmills and traditional craft workshops to see age-old skills in action—from clog shaping to cheese making—while the scent of fresh-cut timber drifts on the breeze.
Trace how this compact landscape powered early Dutch industry. Pause on wooden footbridges for wide views while your guide connects peat-fired mills to the trade routes that shaped the Netherlands.
