Additional information

Float above shallow coral gardens where anemonefish peep from swaying tentacles and bright parrotfish graze the reef. With all snorkel gear provided, it’s easy to glide over bommies and sandy patches, watching turtles surface for air while sunlight ribbons across turquoise lagoons.

Crew orientations point out safe routes and photo-friendly spots, helping you notice delicate branching corals and swirling schools of damselfish. This relaxed, low-impact way to explore the reef complements the dive program and suits a wide range of swimmers seeking colour, clarity, and close-up encounters.

Descend with your buddy team to drop into coral gardens where schools of fusiliers swirl and giant clams rest among bommies. Guided by site briefings, you’ll drift past towering coral pinnacles, scan ledges for reef sharks, and hover as turtles glide by, with visibility often rewarding broad, cinematic views of the reef.

Across multiple moorings—typically on outer reefs such as Norman, Saxon or Hastings—dives are selected for quality coral and great visibility. Over your time at sea you can enjoy up to eleven dives, balancing adventure with safety-focused surface intervals and expert support from the crew.

Slip beneath the surface after dusk on a guided night dive and watch the reef transform. Torch beams reveal hunting trevally, curious crustaceans, and corals unfurling to feed, while the occasional glint of bioluminescent sparkles adds a touch of magic to the inky blue.

Led by your dive professionals, this experience highlights the reef’s nocturnal cast—sleeping parrotfish in mucous cocoons, patrolling reef sharks, and shy rays. Conditions permitting, certified divers can join this included dive during the liveaboard, with thorough safety briefings enhancing confidence and calm underwater.

Embark on a liveaboard cruise from Cairns (Gimuy) and set course for the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Settle into your purpose-built dive vessel as it moors at vibrant outer reef sites where clear water and thriving coral promise day-to-night exploration beneath tropical skies.

Between water sessions, relax on deck, watch sunset over the Coral Sea, and share sightings with fellow travellers. Crew briefings emphasise reef respect and the role of Traditional Owners of sea country, adding depth to the dazzling biodiversity of more than 1,500 fish species and hundreds of coral varieties.
