Additional information

No meals included

Max 10.

Eating is a big part of traveling. Travelling with G Adventures you experience the vast array of wonderful food that is available out in the world. Generally meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other’s company. There is no obligation to do this though. Your Skipper CEO will be able to suggest our favourite restaurants during your trip. The above information applies to G Adventures group trips. For Independent trips please check the itinerary for details of meals included.

On our sailing trip the G Adventures Skipper CEO will help you organise a food kitty, where 70 EUR per person, per week will be added to the kitty for small food items on board to cover breakfasts, lunches and snacks, as well as the odd dinner. Breakfasts and lunches are prepared by yourself, and most dinners are taken ashore at local restaurants.

Minimum age of 16 years for this trip.

1. This is a self-catering trip, and everybody will be expected to participate, cleaning up after themselves, and keeping the boat ship shape at all times (including washing the dishes, and emptying the bins when ashore.)

2. Space is limited on the boat and especially in your cabin. You can only take soft sided luggage on board, such as a mid-sized backpack or soft duffel bag. (Less than is 15kgs)

Suitcases are not appropriate for our Sailing adventures as they are not pliable enough to fit into the niches available for luggage.

3. Fresh water is very limited on board, and as such we ask for your understanding that showers are limited to one quick shower per person a day.

4. It’s important to note that the beds in the cabins are not the usual length of a standard bed. The length is approximately 1.9 meters (6.2 feet)

5. Electrical outlets on board are European style with 2 pins (240V), and are only operational while in port. It is recommended to bring an external battery pack for charging personal electronics.

6. Physical Rating:

– You should be able to climb up small steep ladders, or walk over a wooden plank (without a handrail) when boarding/disembarking the vessel, and be physically able to carry your luggage.

– You will often be climbing in and out of the yachts inflatable tenders at beach landing spots, and boarding/disembarking the tender from the yacht in sometimes challenging conditions.

– Moving around the yacht while under sail can be challenging as it moves in the waves or heels over to its side. You should be physically able, and comfortable, to move about in such conditions.

7. Pre-Trip Contact (G App)

For an enhanced sailing experience, we highly recommend downloading the G Adventures App. This essential tool provides your joining instructions and allows you to connect with your Skipper CEO two days prior to your departure date. Your Skipper CEO will also reach out through the G app chat section with any updates and information required. Stay informed and prepared by accessing all necessary trip details through the app. Ensure a seamless and stress-free start to your adventure by downloading the G Adventures App today!

8. COMBO TRIP

Please note that this tour combines with other G Adventures tours. As such, the staff and some travel companions on your tour may have previously been traveling together with G Adventures, prior to Day 1 of your tour. Likewise, some staff and travel companions may be continuing together on another G Adventures tour, after your trip concludes.

9. Optional Activities

All activities are weather dependent, and may vary slightly by season or local availability. Guests should expect to spend anywhere from €30 to €80 on optional activities per day during the trip, depending on interest and conditions at the islands we stop at.

Skipper/CEO (Chief Experience Officer) throughout.

A NOTE REGARDING SMALL SPACES ON SAILBOATS:

– Please note that the rooming for these boats is assigned upon arrival and neither particular cabins, nor berths can be guaranteed. You will be sharing a bunk or double bed with your travel partner or one of your fellow passengers of the same sex and sharing the bathrooms onboard.

– Please be aware that as this is a real sailboat and not a cruise vessel and the space on board is tight. The sleeping quarters on sailboats are generally kept to a minimum size in order to maximize public space and performance.

– It may be possible to smell engine and/or diesel fumes when in the cabins, due to their proximity to the engine room. Most travel is done during the day, so it is unlikely you will be in the cabin when the engine is running.

– Some people are not comfortable with the type of close quarter arrangements typically found on sailboats, however if a real sailing experience on a real sailboat is what you are after, then this experience should more than make up for cramped quarters.

– Opportunities to sleep in open air on main deck are often available.

– Please note that the skipper may also be sharing the ship’s quarters and amenities with you.

– Power onboard is 220V on European 2 pin sockets. Please note that this is not suitable for sleeping aid machines, as the power source may not always be operating. Bringing a battery pack is recommended.

There is very limited space on the yachts. We recommend the use of a soft duffel bag or backpack. A good size daypack is also essential, as is a waterproof / windproof ‘spray’ jacket, even in warm climates.

PLEASE NOTE: Hard suitcases are not permitted due to limited space. Curling tongs and hairdryers cannot be used onboard.

Every traveller is different and therefore spending money requirements will vary. Some travellers may drink more than others while other travellers like to purchase more souvenirs than most. Please consider your own spending habits when it comes to allowing for drinks, shopping and tipping. We do recommend having up to 300eur in cash, as not all restaurants have credit card facilities.

Drop anchor in sheltered coves where the crystal-clear Adriatic reveals pebbled shelves and shimmering seagrass meadows. Take the swim ladder straight into gin-blue water, then swim and snorkel beside rocky ledges perfumed by pines.

With snorkelling gear provided on board, you’ll drift above darting wrasse and sunlit shallows along a dramatic karst coastline. Unhurried pauses invite sunbathing on deck, a salt-tanged breeze, and panoramic views of white-stone villages clinging to the shore.

Stroll the UNESCO-listed Trogir, an islet town laced with marble lanes and intimate piazzas. The waterfront Riva leads to vaulted passages and stone balconies, with sea views back to the marina and bridges linking the old core.

Admire the sturdily buttressed Kamerlengo Fortress and the Cathedral of St Lawrence, famed for Radovan’s richly carved portal. Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance layers meet within a compact maze that rewards slow wandering and lingering at lantern-lit konobas.

Explore Mljet National Park, a forested sanctuary of Aleppo pines and holm oaks sheltering the jade Veliko and Malo Jezero salt lakes. Walk shoreline paths scented with wild herbs, pause at quiet coves, and listen for cicadas across the still water.

Opt to take a small boat to the islet with a Benedictine monastery on St Mary, or extend with a lake swim. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour; activities vary by season and local conditions.

Discover UNESCO-listed Dubrovnik Old Town, entering via Pile Gate to the polished limestone Stradun. See Onofrio’s Fountain and the Franciscan Monastery, then step into courtyards near the elegant Rector’s Palace where medieval Ragusa traded across the Adriatic.

Ascend the city walls for sweeping views of terracotta roofs, the fortress-studded coastline, and Lokrum’s green rim. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour, subject to timing during your stay in Dubrovnik.

Walk the palm-lined harbour of Hvar Town to St Stephen’s Square, then climb stone steps to the Fortica (Španjola) Fortress. The ramparts open to a wide canvas of sea and the emerald Pakleni Islands scattered like stepping-stones offshore.

Back in town, cafés spill onto flagstones around the cathedral and Arsenal, perfect for a sundowner amid Venetian facades. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Set out to sea kayak the Pakleni Islands, gliding over glassy channels into pine-scented bays and pocket beaches on Sveti Klement. Paddle past sun-burnished cliffs and slip into turquoise shallows ideal for a swim between strokes.

Guides share coastal ecology and safe routes along the indented limestone shoreline, with time to relax on warm rocks or a pebbly cove. This active experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Explore the living labyrinth of Diocletian’s Palace, where Roman walls house cafés and homes. Walk the arcaded Peristyle, see the Temple of Jupiter and the octagonal Cathedral of St Domnius, and descend into the evocative substructures used as filming locations.

Marble streets echo with history from imperial retirement retreat to medieval city. This guided walk is at additional cost and bookable on tour, ideal if extending your time in Split.

Set sail along the Dalmatian Coast on a nimble 16m (54 ft) yacht, tracing jade-green inlets, limestone headlands, and stone-built harbours. Feel the breeze across the Brac Channel as terraced vineyards and olive groves slide by, and watch fishing skiffs bob beneath bell towers in time-worn island towns.

Piloted by a fully licensed Skipper, this small-group passage balances hands-on sailing with laid-back deck time. Routes flex with weather, often skirting islets like the Pakleni Islands for postcard views and tranquil anchorages that capture the rhythm of life on the Adriatic.

Come ashore to wander the walled Old Town of Korcula, a miniature Dubrovnik of honey-coloured stone. Navigate its ingenious fishbone grid of lanes leading to St Mark’s Cathedral, Renaissance loggias, and breezy squares lined with cypress and café terraces.

Trace Venetian ramparts and watchtowers, and hear local lore linking the island to Marco Polo. Coral-red roofs and glittering channels frame a timeless Adriatic scene, perfect for photos and a gelato pause between lanes of carved coats of arms.

Sample indigenous varietals in the sandy vineyards of Lumbarda, where vines meet the sea breeze. In a family-run cellar, taste Grk and Pošip paired with island olives and cheeses while learning about centuries-old pruning and stone terrace traditions.

Hear how winemakers coax salinity and blossom notes from their grapes, and raise a glass to the golden afternoon light across the fields. This family-run cellar experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.
