Additional information
Munich City Cycling & English Garden Beer Garden
Explore Munich on two wheels as you pedal a guided city cycling tour along the Isar embankments, past grand squares like Odeonsplatz and Konigsplatz, and into the leafy English Garden. Pause to watch the Eisbach wave surfers before rolling toward a classic beer garden stop shaded by chestnut trees.
This optional excursion is at additional cost and bookable on tour. Expect a relaxed, mostly flat route with frequent stops for photos and stories that bring Munich’s green spaces and civic landmarks to life.
Munich Brewery Tour & Beer Tasting
Go behind the scenes on a brewery tour to learn how malt, hops, yeast, and water become Munich’s hallmark pours. Sample Bavarian beer styles—Helles, Dunkel, and Weissbier—paired with freshly baked pretzels, while your host explains the Reinheitsgebot of 1516 that shaped local brewing purity and flavor.
This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour. Guided by a local beer expert, it reveals the culture of beer gardens, communal tables, and the simple joy of a well-timed “Prost.”
Munich Old Town Walking Tour & Oktoberfest Orientation
Discover Munich’s historic heart as you join a guided walking tour through the cobbled streets surrounding Marienplatz and the Glockenspiel. Take in the twin towers of the Frauenkirche and browse delicacies at the Viktualienmarkt, where the scent of sausages and gingerbread mingles with hops from nearby beer halls.
Hear how the city evolved from ducal stronghold to Bavarian capital and pause by the famed Hofbräuhaus. Gain savvy tips on how to navigate the Theresienwiese tents, order a one-litre Maß, and toast “Prost” like a local—typically offered early in your time in Munich.
Oktoberfest Tent Hopping at Theresienwiese
Experience the world’s largest beer festival at Oktoberfest at Theresienwiese. Follow the brass and cheers to raise a Maß stein in legendary tents such as Hofbräu-Festzelt and Schottenhamel, where oompah bands lead rousing singalongs and dirndls and lederhosen set the scene.
Explore avenues of fairground rides and food stalls as Bavaria’s brewing heritage shines through every pour. From the 1810 royal wedding origins to today’s communal long-table spirit, the oompah bands and convivial toasts capture the festival’s enduring charm across multiple sessions during your stay.
Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Visit
Pay respects during a guided visit to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Walk the former roll-call square, view barracks foundations, and follow the perimeter path to places of reflection, including interfaith memorial chapels that invite quiet remembrance.
Engage with exhibits that trace Dachau’s 1933 establishment as the first Nazi concentration camp and its postwar role as a place of education. Context from historians and survivor testimonies underscores a solemn, thoughtful experience that prioritizes memory, dignity, and learning.
