Penzance & St Ives Coastal Excursion
Explore two distinctive Cornish towns on an included excursion to Penzance and St Ives. In Penzance, take in the seafront promenade and sheltered sweep of Mount’s Bay, with time to discover the town’s gardens and independent shops.
In St Ives, wander narrow streets and sandy beaches framed by fishing cottages and Atlantic light. The town’s long association with artists gives its harbour and galleries a character all their own; admission to galleries is not included.
Falmouth Harbour Visit
Discover Falmouth’s working harbour and maritime atmosphere on an included visit to this south-coast port. Watch boats on the water and explore the town’s streets, cafés and waterfront at your own pace.
Falmouth’s deep natural harbour has shaped centuries of seafaring, while Pendennis Castle overlooks the entrance to the estuary. The castle and National Maritime Museum Cornwall are local attractions to consider independently; entry to either is not specified as part of the excursion.
Mulled Wine Welcome Reception
Gather at the Pentire Hotel for a mulled wine welcome reception, a hosted start to the holiday’s Turkey & Tinsel celebrations. Share a warming glass with fellow travellers while the scent of seasonal spices sets a festive mood.
This relaxed hotel gathering offers a chance to meet the group beyond the day’s sightseeing. It is an included seasonal welcome, rather than an additional activity to arrange or pay for during the stay.
Traditional ‘Christmas’ Dinner
Sit down at the Pentire Hotel for an included traditional ‘Christmas’ dinner, served as part of the tour’s Turkey & Tinsel festivities. A complimentary glass of wine accompanies the meal, making this more than a routine hotel dinner.
The celebration brings the familiar pleasure of a Christmas gathering into a Cornish seaside break. Enjoy the occasion with fellow travellers in the hotel restaurant, without needing to find or book a separate festive dining experience.
‘Boxing Day’ Afternoon Tea & Christmas Cake
Enjoy afternoon tea and Christmas cake at the Pentire Hotel as part of the tour’s playful ‘Boxing Day’ celebrations. This included gathering offers a pause over tea and a traditional seasonal slice during your Cornish stay.
Christmas cake’s rich fruit and spice are a familiar part of British festive tables. Shared in the hotel’s welcoming surroundings, the tea captures the sociable side of Turkey & Tinsel without requiring a separate booking.
Evening Hotel Entertainment
Settle in for included entertainment every evening at the Pentire Hotel. The programme adds a sociable close to days spent exploring Cornwall, with fellow travellers gathering at the hotel rather than heading out in search of an evening event.
Entertainment is part of the Turkey & Tinsel holiday atmosphere, alongside the seasonal reception and festive dining. The specific acts or performances are not listed, so each evening’s programme is best enjoyed as a surprise.
Padstow Harbour Excursion
Explore Padstow’s fishing harbour on an optional afternoon excursion. Watch boats in the tidal port and wander the compact streets, where seafood restaurants, bakeries and cafés reflect the town’s strong connection to Cornwall’s food traditions.
Padstow is also associated with chef Rick Stein, whose flagship restaurant is here, but dining is not included. This excursion costs an additional £13 per person and is bookable on tour; any food or drink you choose to buy is at your own expense.
