New Year in London – Paddington The Musical & Gala Dinner

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel to our hotel. After check-in, we continue into London and enjoy some time at leisure or maybe have an early dinner (not included) before making our way to the theatre for the evening performance.

New Year in London – Paddington The Musical & Gala Dinner

We set ourselves up for the final day of the year with breakfast at our hotel before we head into Windsor for a few hours of sightseeing. There is plenty to discover in this royal, riverside town – be sure to take a festive photo in front of Windsor Castle’s beautifully decorated Christmas tree before we head back to our hotel in mid-afternoon. There’s time to change into your partywear before joining our gala dinner in the hotel restaurant, which is followed by a special New Year’s Eve disco and a glass of Buck’s Fizz to toast the arrival of 2027. Cheers to that!

New Year in London – Paddington The Musical & Gala Dinner

Following breakfast at the hotel, we make our way back into central London for some time at leisure. Spend it as you please: whether you fancy discovering famous landmarks or indulging in some retail therapy, there is something for everyone to enjoy. In the mid-afternoon, we re-join the coach for our journey home.

As evening falls on day 2, dress for the occasion and savour a festive gala dinner at the hotel, where seasonal dishes set a celebratory mood. After dessert, the tempo lifts as you take to the dance floor for a New Year’s Eve disco, with classic tracks and modern favorites keeping the party spirit alive.

Near midnight, gather with fellow travellers to count down to midnight and raise a glass of Buck’s Fizz — the bright, citrus lift of orange married to sparkling wine is a cheerful British tradition for toasts. Share the moment, exchange good wishes, and welcome the New Year before turning in with memories of a lively London celebration.

Enjoy London at your own pace with time at leisure in the heart of the city — first on day 1 before the theatre and again on day 3. You might enjoy a free afternoon around Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, browse Covent Garden’s market halls, or wander Regent Street and Oxford Street under winter displays. Along the South Bank, pause for photos and reflection as the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben frame the Thames.

London layers centuries of history, from Roman streets to today’s global metropolis. Follow your interests — design shops, book emporiums, street performers — and soak in the city’s winter lights and lively New Year mood. Rejoin the coach at the agreed time, carrying your own small discoveries of the capital.

Enhance your theatre night on day 1 with a seat upgrade, bringing you closer to the stagecraft and performers. Opt for premium locations to better catch the nuance of expressions, choreography and orchestrations as you join an evening in the West End celebrating London’s most courteous bear.

This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour, subject to availability at the time of travel. You’ll still enjoy group arrangements such as the coordinated coach transfers, while your upgraded view lets you savour details that make a musical sparkle.

On day 2, set off after breakfast to the royal riverside town of Windsor and stroll the cobbled streets lined with timbered facades and smart boutiques. From the High Street, pause for photos and reflection as the towers of Windsor Castle rise above the rooftops, then wander towards the Thames for views across the bridge to Eton. Seasonal decorations and a sparkling tree near the castle add a festive touch to your explorations.

Windsor has been shaped by centuries of royal ceremony; the castle is the world’s oldest and largest occupied fortress, while St George’s Chapel stands as a masterpiece of late Gothic craft. Meander the Long Walk vista or soak in the riverside atmosphere before returning to the hotel in mid-afternoon to prepare for the evening’s celebrations.

On day 1, travel into central London and join an evening in the West End, settling into your Grand Circle ticket as the lights dim and the orchestra begins. This joyful new staging of Michael Bond’s beloved bear brims with London spirit — look for playful nods to Paddington Station, the Browns’ warm welcome, and a certain love of marmalade, all wrapped in lively choreography and bright, storybook design.

The production captures Paddington’s gentle humour and sense of kindness, a thread that has charmed readers since 1958. Expect tuneful numbers, witty staging and a family-friendly buzz that defines a London theatre night. After the curtain rises and bows are taken, rejoin your group and coach for the return to the hotel.
