Cetinje Royal Capital, King Nikola’s Palace & Mountain Tasting
Explore Cetinje, Montenegro’s serene royal capital, on foot with a guide and visit King Nikola’s Palace, now a museum. View royal uniforms, weaponry and the Crown Jewels of Montenegro while admiring pastel-fronted former embassies and the Blue Palace along leafy boulevards.
After the museum, sample mountain specialties linked to nearby Lovcen—smoked Njeguši ham, aged cheeses and warm priganice with honey—served in a countryside setting. The flavours and setting underline Cetinje’s role as a cradle of culture between karst slopes and monastic tradition.
Stari Bar Fortress Ruins Walk
Step into a time-softened world as you explore the ivy-threaded lanes of Stari Bar Fortress on the flanks of Mount Rumija. Wander beneath stone arches and past ancient cisterns, pausing for wide views over olive groves and the distant sea.
Uncover layers of conquest in Venetian and Ottoman walls before learning how the earthquake of 1979 hastened the town’s abandonment. Entrance is included, allowing unhurried exploration amid wild herbs and weathered ramparts.
Shkodër Guided City Tour, Albania
Cross the border for a guided tour of Shkodër, among the Balkans’ oldest cities. Stroll broad boulevards to St Stephen’s Cathedral and the domed Ebu Bekr Mosque, where minarets and bell towers share the skyline in easy harmony.
Hear tales of Illyrian foundations, Catholic heritage and Gheg culture, and learn why Rozafa Fortress—steeped in legend—still commands the confluence of three rivers. Café chatter and flower-lined squares add a modern vibrancy to the city’s layered past.
Kotor UNESCO Old Town Walking Tour
Join a guided walking tour through the UNESCO-listed maze of Kotor Old Town. Navigate marble-paved lanes and lively squares to the twin-towered St Tryphon Cathedral, all set beneath sheer limestone slopes that rise straight from the bay.
Trace the imprint of Venetian fortifications—and their Lions of Venice—guarding this Adriatic stronghold. From market stalls of olives and cheeses to sea-sprayed walls scaling the hillside, Kotor fuses maritime legacy with mountain drama at every turn.
Perast Boat Trip to Our Lady of the Rocks
Board a boat from Perast across the mirror-calm Bay of Kotor to the man-made islet crowned by Our Lady of the Rocks. Enter the blue-domed church to view votive silver plaques, maritime relics and works by Baroque painter Tripo Kokolja.
Hear the sailors’ legend of casting stones after safe voyages, slowly raising an island from the bay. Venetian palaces and bell towers line Perast’s shore, providing a serene backdrop as you cruise amid mountains that plunge to the water’s edge.
Ostrog Monastery Cliffside Visit
Visit Ostrog Monastery, a cliff-face sanctuary set some 900 metres above the Zeta Valley. Enter chapels alive with vivid frescoes and icons, and pay respects to Saint Basil, whose relics are enshrined in the upper church.
Founded in the 17th century and carved into sheer rock, Ostrog welcomes Orthodox, Catholic and Muslim pilgrims alike. The white facade gleaming against grey karst makes this spiritual aerie one of the region’s most striking places of devotion.
Lake Skadar National Park Boat Cruise
Cruise Lake Skadar, the Balkans’ largest lake, gliding past reed beds, water-lily rafts and island monasteries within the National Park. Scan for pelicans, herons and cormorants as you enjoy a glass of local grappa on board.
Framed by karst mountains and fishing hamlets, the lake shelters over 260 bird species and a thriving wetland ecosystem. The interplay of pelican-rich wetlands and glassy waters showcases Montenegro’s serene, watery heart.
Budva Old Town Walking Tour & Seaside Citadel Views
Discover the Adriatic’s glamour as you join a guided walking tour inside the Venetian-walled core of Budva Old Town, winding along polished stone lanes toward the seaside Citadel. Pause at breezy ramparts for far-reaching views over the Adriatic coast, bell towers and terracotta roofs.
Hear how Illyrian roots met centuries of Venetian rule to shape this compact maze. Your guide highlights Romanesque chapels and maritime defenses while you absorb Budva’s lively coastal atmosphere of pocket-sized squares, fishing harbours and café-lined promenades.
Šipcanik Underground Wine Cellar Tour & Tasting
Descend 30 metres below a sea of vines for a tour and tasting at the remarkable Šipcanik wine cellar, housed in a former underground aircraft hangar. Walk barrel-lined tunnels scented with oak and stone fruit as you sample regional wines—velvety Vranac and crisp Krstac—paired with local bites.
Discover how a Cold War air base became a cathedral to oenology, now storing around two million litres from the vast Plantaže vineyards. Expert hosts share Montenegro’s winemaking story as glasses clink in this atmospheric subterranean chamber.
