Join a guided mountain hike from Montroc, following spruce and larch zigzags to the airy crest of Aiguillette des Posettes (2,201m). From this natural balcony, sweep your gaze across the Chamonix Valley, the Aiguilles Rouges National Nature Reserve, and the ridgelines that signal the Swiss frontier.

Descend via the Col des Posettes to Le Tour, savoring constant views of glaciers and aiguilles. Rest your legs aboard the scenic Mont-Blanc Express train, watching the slopes you crossed slide by in a flicker of pastures and peaks.

Walk from Merlet through flowered meadows and cool forest to cross the Carlaveyron Nature Reserve, a protected plateau of alpine grasses and birdlife. A final push brings you to Aiguillette des Houches (2,285m), a rocky knuckle facing the glaciers and seracs of the Mont Blanc face.

On the descent, the horizon opens over the sculpted Chaîne des Fiz cliffs, their limestone ramparts glowing honey-gold in afternoon light. Paths weave down to the valley, linking silent larch clearings with views that linger long after boots are off.

Journey beneath Europe’s highest peak to Italy and cross the Mont Blanc Tunnel into Val Ferret. Climb a classic TMB path to the storied Rifugio Bonatti, pausing for coffee with glacier views before you contour high above Val Ferret on a balcony trail framed by the Grandes Jorasses.

Glacial tongues, hanging seracs, and needle-edged ridges accompany the traverse before a steady descent towards Courmayeur. Reward the day with a gelato in this elegant Alpine town, where slate roofs, piazzette, and Italian warmth complete the cross-border contrast.

Hike a classic section of the Mont Blanc circuit towards the Passerelle de Bionnassay suspension bridge, where a milky glacier-fed torrent thunders below from the Bionnassay Glacier. Continue up forest paths and alpine terraces to the panoramic Col de Voza (1,653m) overlooking the Chamonix Valley.

After ridge-line vistas and snapshots of icefall and aiguilles, descend on steady trails towards Les Houches. A gentle optional cable car descent may be available for tired legs, letting you savor the scenery from the air as the valley widens beneath.

Ascend to La Flégère and walk a spectacular circuit to Lac Blanc (2,352m), where granite, ice, and sky meet in still water. Continue past the mirror-like Lac des Chéserys, watch marmots on sunlit rocks, then rejoin the famous Grand Balcon Sud for a horizon-wide view of Mont Blanc.

Season permitting, ride the La Flégère gondola to maximize time at altitude; in shoulder seasons, a beautifully graded trail reaches the same viewpoints. Expect short ladders in places, steady paths, and long, unbroken vistas across the massif.

Ride the world-famous lift to 3,842m and ride the Aiguille du Midi cable car, stepping out to 360-degree platforms facing Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses. On clear days, peaks march to the horizon in every direction.

For an extra thrill, step onto the Pas dans le Vide, a glass box suspended over a 1,000m void. This is an optional experience at additional cost, bookable on tour and subject to weather, visibility, and operational conditions.

Board the Montenvers rack railway for a nostalgic climb to a Belle Époque station above the Mer de Glace. Exhibits and terraces explain the glacier’s retreat, while serrated ridges and seracs form a dramatic amphitheatre.

Stroll signed paths to glacier viewpoints for photographs and quiet contemplation of ice and time. This is an optional experience at additional cost, bookable on tour; access to certain features can vary with conditions and season.

Clip in for a bucket-list tandem paragliding flight, launching with a certified pilot from a grassy take-off above town. Float on Alpine thermals and swoop above the Chamonix Valley, tracing rivers, forests, and rooftops far below.

Glide along the Mont Blanc skyline as peaks and glaciers unfold in silence, then touch down with a head full of sky. This is an optional experience at additional cost, bookable on tour and dependent on weather and availability.

Swap boots for wheels and rent a mountain bike to roll the Petit Balcon trails, linking forest singletrack, riverside paths, and hamlets scented with resin and pine. Gentle gradients and swooping corners keep the ride fun and adaptable.

Pause for photos of glacier views and needle-sharp peaks before coasting into town for a café stop. This is an optional experience at additional cost, bookable on tour; routes can be tailored to fitness and trail conditions.

Ease tired legs in geothermal serenity and soak in thermal pools at QC Terme Chamonix, where indoor-outdoor baths face the Bossons Glacier. Aromatic steam rooms, steam and saunas, and sensory showers restore body and spirit.

Unwind on loungers with Mont Blanc views framed by larch and fir, letting mountain quiet settle in. This is an optional experience at additional cost, bookable on tour; access and timings vary by season and availability.

Explore the heart of Chamonix on foot, threading past Savoyard shopfronts and the Baroque church as you walk into Chamonix. Meet your International Mountain Leader for a friendly welcome briefing, gear tips, and an overview of the week while the Mont Blanc skyline rises above the valley like a living compass.

Return to your chalet for a convivial home-cooked Savoyard dinner, where the group shares first impressions over hearty regional flavors. This hosted evening sets an easygoing, sociable tone for days of fresh mountain air and big-sky vistas.
