Llanberis & Caernarfon Castle (Optional Excursion)
Typically on day 4, opt to explore lakes and legends in northwest Wales. In Llanberis, at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), stroll by Llyn Padarn with views of slate-grey peaks and visit craft shops or the National Slate Museum if time permits. It’s a scenic half-day that balances mountain drama with village calm; this experience is at an additional cost (£15pp) and bookable on tour.
Continue to Caernarfon, its waterfront crowned by Caernarfon Castle — a masterpiece of Edward I with mighty polygonal towers and town walls. Walk the Menai-facing quays, trace narrow lanes and pause for photos and reflection where stone, tide and seabirds share the air. The setting distils the story of Wales in fortress and foam.
Ormskirk Market & Southport Seaside Stroll (Optional Excursion)
Often available on day 3, this optional outing starts at Ormskirk Market, where a medieval market charter still hums through the streets. Around the Clock Tower, up to a hundred stalls brim with local produce, flowers, fabrics and everyday treasures. Meet friendly traders, sample Lancashire flavours and enjoy a free hour to browse; this experience is at an additional cost and bookable on tour.
Then continue to Southport, styled as “England’s Classic Resort”. Amble along Lord Street’s Victorian boulevards, admire cast-iron canopies and wander the historic pier, one of the longest in Britain. Sea breeze, miles of golden sands and the shimmer of the Marine Lake set an easy tempo, inviting you to soak in the seaside atmosphere before returning to the hotel.
Turkey & Tinsel Dinner, 2-for-1 Bar & Evening Entertainment
On day 1, settle in for a festive ‘Turkey & Tinsel’ dinner — a cheerful nod to the season with roast turkey and trimmings, crackers and convivial tables. Between 6pm–9pm the 2-for-1 bar on selected drinks sets a relaxed mood, perfect for toasting new friends and swapping first-day stories before the music starts.
Each night brings evening entertainment — light cabaret, dancing or quizzes — evoking the spirit of a classic British holiday. The glow of decorations, the rustle of paper hats and the clink of glasses create a cosy, communal atmosphere, inviting you to unwind after the day’s sightseeing and savour simple pleasures in good company.
Chester City Visit & Roman Walls
On day 3, travel to Chester, a compact city where centuries layer gracefully. Stroll past black-and-white timbered buildings and the unique double-decked Rows of shops, then follow sections of the medieval city walls to the ornate Eastgate Clock. Continue to the grassy curve of the Roman Amphitheatre and the precincts around Chester Cathedral, with time to enjoy a free afternoon browsing boutiques and cafés.
Your visit brings to life Roman Deva Victrix, a fortress that anchored the region, later enriched by medieval trade and Georgian elegance. Guides highlight the city’s warm sandstone, hidden courtyards and riverfront by the Dee. Expect moments to pause for photos and reflection where old lanes open onto vibrant squares and street musicians echo beneath the clock.
Snowdonia: Betws-y-Coed Village & Conwy Walled Town
On day 4, venture into Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, where mountains, rivers and forests shape a wild Welsh panorama. In Betws-y-Coed, wander among stone cottages, the Pont-y-Pair Bridge and artisan shops perfumed with fresh timber and coffee. Forest trails whisper with streams and birdsong, offering chances to pause for photos and reflection beneath mossy boughs and slate roofs.
Continue to Conwy, a compact harbor town encircled by 13th-century walls. Gaze up at Conwy Castle — part of a UNESCO-listed medieval ensemble — and stroll the quayside past the Smallest House in Great Britain and Telford’s suspension bridge. The mix of sea air, battlements and bobbing boats sets a timeless scene as you enjoy a free afternoon sampling local Welsh fare or browsing craft shops.
Liverpool Panoramic Coach Tour & Albert Dock Waterfront
On day 2, join a guided panoramic tour of Liverpool, the proud port on the River Mersey famed for trade, football and music. See the cultural quarter by St George’s Hall and William Brown Street, then roll past the waterfront’s “Three Graces” at the Pier Head — the Royal Liver Building, Cunard and Port of Liverpool. Continue to the Cavern Quarter to trace the story of The Beatles and pause for photos and reflection at the city’s striking landmarks.
Learn how the city grew from docks and shipyards to pop culture powerhouse, and how immigration shaped neighbourhoods and sounds. The tour typically ends by the Royal Albert Dock, where red-brick warehouses hold museums and waterside cafés. Enjoy time to explore at your own pace, soaking up street art, maritime statues and the lively Mersey breeze.
