Receive a traditional flower lei in Honolulu and gather with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Hawaiian-style welcome dinner. The greeting offers a warm introduction to the islands’ spirit of hospitality.

Sharing a meal provides a chance to meet your travelling companions while settling into Waikiki’s relaxed coastal atmosphere. Together, the lei and dinner mark the beginning of your time in Hawaii through two expressions of welcome.

Travel through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, set within Honolulu’s Punchbowl Crater. The scenic drive offers a view of this place of remembrance and its distinctive volcanic setting.

Known locally as Puowaina, the crater holds a national cemetery honouring members of the US armed forces. Its quiet grounds bring together Hawaii’s volcanic landscape and a powerful record of military service and sacrifice.

Walk through downtown Honolulu on a guided tour of Hawaii’s historic centre. Pass ?Iolani Palace, the former residence of Hawaii’s monarchs, and see the King Kamehameha I Statue and State Capitol Building.

Viewed from outside, the palace recalls both royal celebrations and the upheaval surrounding Queen Lili?uokalani’s overthrow. The nearby landmarks connect the story of the Hawaiian Kingdom with the civic life of the modern state.

Explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island and view the Steam Vents and Kilauea Crater. These features reveal the heat and geological forces that continue to shape Hawaii’s youngest island.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site protects volcanic landscapes, native ecosystems and places of cultural importance. Encompassing the summits of Kilauea and Mauna Loa, the park offers a close look at an environment formed by eruptions over immense spans of time.

See a Hawaiian black-sand beach, where dark volcanic grains create a striking contrast with the Pacific shoreline. Take in a coastal landscape shaped by the same volcanic activity that formed the islands.

Black sand develops as lava rock breaks down and is worked by the sea. This scenic encounter offers a different perspective on Hawaii’s geology: one visible not in a crater, but beneath the waves and along the shore.

Learn about Keauhou’s giant manta rays with a Local Specialist at the Manta Ray Learning Center. Discover their life cycle, why they gather along the Kona coast and how local education and research support their conservation.

From the resort’s shoreline viewing area, look for rays feeding in the water below. Lights attract plankton, which in turn can draw mantas close to shore, offering an opportunity to observe these graceful animals in their natural environment.

Visit Kona Sea Salt for a hosted experience exploring the place of salt in Hawaiian culture. Watch the production process, taste salts with different flavour profiles and share a lunch with your local host.

Learn how salt is produced using deep ocean water and how the method differs from salt-making elsewhere. The visit connects a familiar ingredient to the Kona coast, its ocean resources and the people who work with them.

Explore Greenwell Farms on the Big Island and follow Kona coffee’s journey from seed to cup. Learn how the crop is grown and processed, and taste 100% Kona coffee where it is produced.

The farm’s coffee heritage stretches back more than 150 years. Discover practices including water reclamation, mulching and solar-powered operations, as well as how other crops contribute to the farm’s ecosystem. Your visit supports its work toward more responsible production.

Experience a Hawaiian luau on Keauhou Bay with a dinner of island flavours and tropical cocktails. Listen for the call of the conch shell and the rhythm of drums as performers share dance traditions from across Polynesia.

Held beneath hala trees and the night sky, the gathering brings food, music and storytelling together in a lively coastal setting. It is a chance to enjoy the communal spirit of a luau rather than simply dine out.

Explore the Big Island’s Kohala region on an off-road adventure paired with a relaxed trail walk to a hidden waterfall. Take in a scenic overlook of Pololu Valley, where steep green slopes meet the coast.

This optional experience combines a closer look at Kohala’s landscape and history with time on foot away from the main roads. It is available at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Discover the waters off South Kona on a snorkelling trip around Kealakekua Bay and the Pu?uhonua o Honaunau area. Look beneath the surface for marine life, with lava tubes and sea caves adding to the volcanic coastal scenery.

Kealakekua Bay is known for its clear water and reef habitat, while the surrounding shoreline shows how lava shaped this part of the Big Island. This optional experience is available at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Visit ?Iao Valley State Park on Maui to take in its steep, green walls and the ?Iao Needle, a prominent rock pinnacle rising from the valley floor. The lush setting reveals a different side of Hawaii’s volcanic terrain.

Beyond its scenery, ?Iao Valley holds deep significance in Hawaiian history as the site of the 1790 Battle of Kepaniwai. Its landscape invites appreciation of both Maui’s natural beauty and the history connected to it.
