Harrogate Spring Flower Show & Historic York

From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to York, where we enjoy some free time at leisure to explore. One highlight is York Minster, the largest Gothic Cathedral north of the Alps and a spectacular masterpiece featuring stunning stained glass. Don’t miss the famous Betty’s English Tea Rooms too, plus the cobbled streets of The Shambles (Europe’s oldest shopping street) and Stonegate, with its many oak-beamed shops, pubs and cafés. Later, we check into our hotel in time for dinner.

Harrogate Spring Flower Show & Historic York

After breakfast we travel by coach to the Harrogate Spring Flower Show. Here we discover a trestle-load of gardening ideas, inspiring workshops, floral exhibitions, charming show gardens and so much more! We rejoin the coach later in the afternoon for our journey home, buzzing like a bee with happiness on such a lovely afternoon surrounded by gorgeous flowers and like-minded company.

Discover Britain’s seasonal showcase of horticulture with included admission to the Harrogate Spring Flower Show at the Great Yorkshire Showground. Wander vibrant show gardens and floral pavilions, meet specialist nurseries, and gather ideas from practical displays, plant theatres, and hands-on demonstrations led by expert growers.

Staged by the North of England Horticultural Society, the show blends inspiration and shopping. Browse tools, seeds, and heritage varieties, discover seasonal food and artisan stalls, and enjoy time to compare planting schemes before rejoining the coach.

Explore historic York on an included city visit, with the skyline crowned by the soaring towers of York Minster. Wander the timber-framed lanes of The Shambles and Stonegate, browse independent shops and cafés, and, if you wish, step onto a stretch of the medieval city walls to view rooftops and spires.

From Roman Eboracum and Viking Jórvík to Georgian elegance, visit historic York layered with centuries of craft and commerce. Seek out Bettys for classic pastries, spot guildhalls and hidden snickelways, and enjoy time to explore near headline sights.
