Jackson Welcome Dinner
Meet your fellow travellers over a welcome dinner in Jackson, a Wyoming town with deep ties to the Old West. Share a meal and get acquainted with your Travel Director and the group.
Surrounded by the Teton Range, Jackson is known for its galleries, wooden boardwalks and mountain-town character. The hosted gathering offers a relaxed introduction to the people travelling with you.
Apsáalooke Storytelling in Yellowstone
Hear Charles Yarlott, Jr. share Apsáalooke stories in a Yellowstone MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. Raised in the Crow language, he offers a personal perspective on his people’s ancestral connections to the land through oral history and lived tradition.
Learn how the Crow people have sustained their culture and identity through centuries of change. This encounter places Indigenous voices at the centre of Yellowstone’s story and supports the preservation of living cultural heritage.
Salt Lake City Orientation & Temple Square
Get to know Utah’s capital on an orientation tour of Salt Lake City with your Travel Director. Visit the Temple Square area, the historic centre associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and explore its surroundings at your own pace.
Founded by Mormon pioneers in 1847, Salt Lake City grew between the Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake. The orientation connects the city’s streets and landmarks with the settlers who shaped its early history.
Snake River Float Adventure
Float along the Snake River near Jackson for a water-level perspective on the valley and its mountain backdrop. Look out across riverside habitats and towards the Teton Range while enjoying the open air from the river.
The Snake River threads through Jackson Hole beneath peaks shaped by glaciation, creating a distinctive setting for scenic exploration. This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour; conditions and wildlife sightings can vary.
Grand Canyon Flightseeing
Take an optional flightseeing ride over the Grand Canyon to see the immense scale of its cliffs, side canyons and layered rock from the air. The aerial vantage point reveals patterns in the landscape that are difficult to appreciate from a single rim viewpoint.
Carved over vast spans of geological time, the canyon is one of North America’s most recognisable natural landmarks. This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour, subject to availability and suitable flying conditions.
Grand Teton National Park & Jenny Lake
Explore Grand Teton National Park with your Travel Director, taking in the jagged Teton Range above alpine forests and glacier-carved lakes. Visit the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center and travel past Jenny Lake, set beneath the mountains.
Visitor-center exhibits introduce the park’s people, wildlife and mountaineering history. Keep watch for elk and eagles across a landscape shaped by glaciers; wildlife sightings are possible but never guaranteed.
Yellowstone National Park Geothermal & Canyon Tour
Discover Yellowstone National Park with your Travel Director, visiting Old Faithful and seeing the park’s geysers, hot springs and bubbling mud pots. Scenic stops include Norris Geyser Basin and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, where the Yellowstone River cuts through colourful rock.
Established in 1872 as the first US national park, Yellowstone protects a vast geothermal landscape. Watch for bison, elk and other wildlife along the route, while keeping a safe distance from animals and thermal features.
Swore Farms Tour & Greenhouse Lunch
Meet Wendy at family-run Swore Farms near Pocatello, Idaho, for a hosted tour of the farm and greenhouses. Learn where crops grow, take a ride through the property and meet some of its farm animals.
Wendy shares what farming means to her family and how fresh produce connects the farm with its community. A hosted lunch in the greenhouse makes this Be My Guest visit a chance to experience local rural life firsthand.
Bryce Canyon National Park Scenic Exploration
Explore Bryce Canyon National Park, where densely packed hoodoos rise in pink, orange and rust-red formations. Visit the park’s visitor center to learn about its geology and history, and enjoy a scenic drive with possible stops at viewpoints such as Sunrise Point, Sunset Point and Inspiration Point.
Despite its name, Bryce is a series of natural amphitheatres rather than a single canyon. Frost and rain have carved its limestone into one of the world’s largest concentrations of towering hoodoos.
Zion National Park Private Tram Tour
Ride through Zion Canyon on a private 90-minute tram tour along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. A knowledgeable park guide shares the canyon’s history as sandstone walls tower above the valley floor and the Virgin River winds through it.
Experience the contrasts that define Zion: red cliffs, riverside greenery and shifting light across ancient rock. The tram offers a way to see treasured parts of the canyon, whose scenic drive is closed to private vehicles during busy summer months.
Cameron Trading Post Visit
Visit historic Cameron Trading Post in northern Arizona to browse Native American art, jewellery and Southwest specialities. More than a quick roadside pause, this longstanding trading post offers a look at the crafts and commerce associated with the region.
Set near the Little Colorado River, Cameron has served travellers for generations. Take time to look closely at the work on display and consider the artistic traditions represented across this part of the Southwest.
Grand Canyon National Park & Desert View
Discover Grand Canyon National Park from ground-level viewpoints, including Desert View. Take in the vast sweep of layered cliffs and learn about the natural processes that shaped the canyon as the Colorado River cut through the plateau.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Grand Canyon reveals rock layers spanning immense stretches of geological time. Desert View offers a perspective on the canyon’s eastern reaches and the surrounding plateau, making its scale easier to grasp.
Fred Harvey Restaurant Celebration Dinner
Share a celebration dinner at the Fred Harvey Restaurant in Williams, beside the Grand Canyon Railway. Enjoy dishes inspired by classic American railroad recipes in a setting that recalls the days when train travel opened the Southwest to visitors.
Fred Harvey’s restaurants became part of the region’s rail-travel history by serving passengers along the route. This hosted meal brings that heritage into focus, with time to reflect on the landscapes and experiences shared during the tour.
Historic Route 66 Stops
Experience a stretch of historic Route 66 through Arizona, with stops in Kingman and Seligman. See towns that preserve the signs, storefronts and roadside character associated with America’s best-known highway.
Established in 1926, Route 66 became a route west for migrants, adventurers and holidaymakers. These stops offer a closer look at its place in American road-trip culture, beyond the desert scenery visible from the coach.
Rendezvous Mountain Aerial Tram Ride
Ride an aerial tram to Rendezvous Mountain near Jackson for elevated views across the Teton Range, Jackson Hole and the Snake River Valley. The ascent offers a different perspective on the steep peaks and broad valley floor seen from Grand Teton National Park.
At the summit, take in 360-degree mountain panoramas and the crisp air of the high-altitude setting. This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour; views depend on weather conditions.
