Dublin Guided City Tour
Explore Dublin with a Local Expert, passing its Georgian squares, O’Connell Street and the riverside Custom House. See St Patrick’s Cathedral as you discover how the city’s historic streets sit alongside its lively modern neighbourhoods.
Georgian architecture gives central Dublin much of its distinctive character, while O’Connell Street has been a focal point of public life for generations. Your guide brings context to the landmarks visible along the route.
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum with Drinks and Canapés
Discover the stories of Irish emigrants at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin’s Docklands, with drinks and canapés as part of your visit. Interactive exhibits explore the journeys of people who carried Irish ideas, traditions and talent across the world.
Across themed galleries, encounter personal letters, family histories and the achievements of emigrants in fields from literature to science. The museum gives a human perspective on the global Irish diaspora.
Strokestown Park House and Irish Famine Museum
Visit Strokestown Park House, its gardens and the onsite Irish Famine Museum in County Roscommon. Explore the Palladian country house’s preserved interiors before examining photographs, documents and personal accounts with a Local Expert.
Home to the Mahon family for centuries, the estate reveals both the grandeur of a landed household and the hardship experienced beyond its walls. The museum places local testimony within the wider history of Ireland’s devastating 1840s famine.
Westport Heritage Walk
Walk through Westport with a Local Expert to uncover the heritage of this west-coast town. Take in its streets and riverside setting while hearing stories that connect the area’s ancient settlement with the community you see today.
Westport’s planned Georgian townscape and its position near Clew Bay give it a character distinct from Ireland’s larger cities. Your guide adds local context to the landscape, architecture and long history of County Mayo.
Kylemore Abbey Visit
Visit Kylemore Abbey amid Connemara’s mountains and lakes. Explore the story of the imposing Neo-Gothic building and admire features of the estate, including its Victorian Walled Garden and turreted church.
Built as a private home in the 19th century, Kylemore became an abbey in 1920 for Benedictine nuns who had fled Belgium during the First World War. Its changing purpose lends a layered history to one of Connemara’s most recognisable landmarks.
Cliffs of Moher Visit
Stand above the Atlantic at the Cliffs of Moher, where the Clare coastline rises to about 214 metres. Take in the sea views, visit the exhibition centre and hear insights from your Travel Director into the cliffs’ geology and history.
This stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way is also a habitat for seabirds, which nest along its ledges in season. Paths and viewpoints offer different perspectives on the cliffs’ layers of rock and the water below.
Shannon Estuary Ferry Crossing
Cross the Shannon Estuary by ferry between Killimer and Tarbert, looking out across the broad tidal waters where Ireland’s longest river meets the Atlantic. This is a scenic crossing, with views of the shoreline from the water.
Your Travel Director can point out the estuary’s links to historic smuggling routes and 19th-century emigration. The crossing offers a different perspective on the west-coast landscape than the roads along its banks.
Ring of Kerry Scenic Journey
Discover the Ring of Kerry on a scenic journey around the Iveragh Peninsula. The roughly 179-kilometre route reveals Atlantic shores, beaches, lakes and villages framed by mountains and pastureland.
Ancient glaciation shaped much of this landscape. On clear days, coastal views may extend towards the Skellig Islands, where Skellig Michael preserves the remains of an early Christian monastery. The drive brings together the contrasting scenery that has made County Kerry so closely associated with Ireland’s west coast.
Atlantic Irish Seaweed Foraging Walk
Join John of Atlantic Irish Seaweed for a guided shore walk along the Ring of Kerry. Learn to notice the seaweeds growing on the Atlantic coast and hear how careful foraging can sit alongside protection of the marine environment.
This MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience connects local knowledge with the fragile ecosystems of the intertidal zone. Meeting an advocate who works to promote sustainable use gives the coastal landscape a perspective beyond its scenery.
Blarney Castle and Blarney Stone — Insight Choice
Choose to explore Blarney Castle and its grounds, with the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone. Discover garden features such as the Witch’s Kitchen and Wishing Steps as you explore this historic County Cork estate.
The medieval castle is closely associated with the legend that kissing its famous stone grants eloquence, or the ‘gift of the gab’. This included Insight Choice is one of two Blarney experiences available; you select it instead of the guided garden tour.
Blarney Castle Gardens with a Senior Gardener — Insight Choice
Choose a guided walk with a senior gardener through the grounds of Blarney Castle. Hear expert insights into the arboretum’s rare trees, the Bog Garden’s centuries-old yews and distinctive planting across the estate.
The gardens combine cultivated collections with woodland paths and features associated with local folklore, including Druid rock formations. This included Insight Choice offers a closer look at the estate’s plants and landscapes instead of the Blarney Castle and Stone experience.
Kilkenny Castle Visit
Explore Kilkenny Castle, the former seat of the powerful Butler family, Earls of Ormond. See restored interiors, including the Picture Gallery and family rooms, and spend time in the surrounding parkland and gardens.
Founded in the 12th century, the castle was remodelled repeatedly, with much of its present appearance reflecting Victorian tastes. Its rooms and grounds show how a medieval stronghold evolved into a family residence before passing into public ownership.
Dublin Traditional Pub Farewell Dinner
Gather for a farewell dinner in a traditional Dublin pub and share a final toast with your fellow travellers. The pub setting brings a sociable, distinctly Irish atmosphere to the close of the tour.
Pubs have long served as neighbourhood meeting places in Dublin, valued for conversation as much as food and drink. This organised dinner gives the group time to reflect on the places and stories encountered across Ireland.
River Shannon Cruise
Take an optional cruise on the River Shannon to see Ireland’s countryside from the water. Settle aboard and watch the riverbanks and rolling green landscape unfold at an unhurried pace.
The Shannon is Ireland’s longest river and has shaped travel and settlement across the island for centuries. This is an Optional Experience at additional cost, bookable on tour; your Travel Director can provide the available cruise details.
Galway Historic Walking Tour
Join an optional walking tour of Galway to discover landmarks including the Spanish Arch, St Nicholas’ Church, the Lynch Memorial Window and Eyre Square. Hear stories that reveal the character of this bustling west-coast city.
Galway’s streets retain traces of its past as a medieval trading port, while its squares remain lively gathering places. This Optional Experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.
Celtic Steps Performance
Choose an optional Celtic Steps performance in Killarney for an evening of Irish music and dance. Watch the dancers’ precise footwork and listen to the rhythms that drive a live stage show.
Irish step dance draws on a performance tradition recognised far beyond Ireland, but its timing and technique are especially compelling up close. This is an Optional Experience at additional cost, bookable on tour, offered as an alternative to the Gaelic Roots show.
Gaelic Roots Song and Dance Show
Experience an optional Gaelic Roots show in Killarney, with Irish song and dance brought together on stage. Music, movement and performance offer a lively introduction to traditions that remain part of Ireland’s cultural life.
The show is an evening entertainment choice for travellers who want to hear and see these traditions performed rather than simply read about them. It is at additional cost and bookable on tour, as an alternative to Celtic Steps.
