Additional information

Join a guided walking tour through Split’s living museum, the walled precinct of Diocletian’s Palace. Stand amid the colonnades of the Peristyle and trace Roman stonework in the atmospheric cellars, then admire the former imperial mausoleum reborn as the Cathedral of St Domnius, its bell tower rising over sunlit squares and the waterfront Riva.

Continue to Trogir’s tiny island Old Town to wander lanes scented with sea air. See the Cathedral of St Lawrence, renowned for Master Radovan’s 13th-century portal, and the stone loggias and courtyards shaped by Venetian merchants. The compact setting invites unhurried exploration and photography from the palm-lined promenade.

Taste the Pelješac peninsula’s bounty at a family-run wine cellar, pairing robust Plavac Mali vintages with local cheeses and prosciutto curated by your hosts. Explore how sun-baked slopes and sea breezes shape the vines, as cellar aromas of oak and dried herbs hint at generations of craftsmanship.

Afterward, stroll medieval Mali Ston, gateway to the famed defensive walls guarding the salt pans and bay. Learn why shellfish thrive in these pristine waters and pause for photos along stone quays and narrow lanes. This culinary encounter offers a flavour-rich window onto Dalmatia’s maritime heritage.

Join a guided city tour through Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-listed heart, following the polished marble Stradun past Renaissance facades. Hear stories inside courtyards of the Rector’s Palace and Sponza Palace and discover how merchant fleets and diplomacy powered this small republic along the Adriatic.

Walk beneath sturdy ramparts to glimpse monasteries, bell towers and sea-facing forts set against cobalt water. Your guide highlights vantage points for photographs and explains the resilience of the city from medieval trade to modern restoration. Expect a compelling blend of architecture, seafaring lore and luminous Mediterranean light.

Visit a restored watermill in the fertile Konavle valley to see traditional spinning and weaving and cloth-stamping powered by rushing streams. After the demonstration, sample local cheeses and prosciutto with homemade bread, paired with regional wines and liqueurs infused with figs and citrus from garden groves.

Continue to Cavtat’s harbourfront promenade, a seaside setting framed by cypress and pine. Stroll as boats sway at their moorings and absorb a slower rhythm once prized by Ragusan nobles, balancing gentle coastal scenery with traces of Dalmatia’s artistic and trading past.

Walk the medieval city walls encircling Dubrovnik for sweeping panoramas over the Adriatic and terracotta rooftops. Trace bastions and towers from Minceta to St John, pausing above stone lanes where swallows wheel and laundry brightens shaded courtyards.

This historic circuit, largely completed between the 13th and 16th centuries, reveals the city’s defensive genius and maritime outlook. This is an optional experience at additional cost and bookable on tour, with timing arranged to suit your day in the Old Town.

Set out on a harbour cruise from the Old Port to view Dubrovnik’s fortress-studded coastline from the water, with the city walls and Bokar bastion rising sheer above the waves. Glide past rocky coves and the green slopes of Lokrum, as sea breezes cool the deck.

Your skipper shares shoreline lore while you frame striking photographs of ramparts and red-tiled roofs. This is an optional experience at additional cost and bookable on tour, and is weather-dependent to ensure calm, comfortable sailing.

Explore the emerald heart of Krka National Park as you walk the wooden boardwalks beside the Skradinski Buk cascades, where ribbons of water spill into turquoise pools and mist cools the air. Continue with a leisurely river boat cruise, watching reeds sway and kingfishers flash by as travertine terraces shape the flow.

Learn how limestone and mineral-rich waters build living barriers that have evolved for millennia in this protected karst landscape. Along the way, pass the remains of traditional watermills and shaded groves, with viewpoints perfectly placed for photographs. This immersive nature experience typically occurs early in the tour.
