FAQs
- Marrakesh: A modular trip means fellow travellers will join and leave at various locations. There’ll be some goodbyes, sure, but there’ll also be plenty of hellos with new like-minded travellers.
- Marrakesh: Tipping’s a big deal in Morocco – it’s part of the culture and helps support locals (especially those working in tourism). During your trip, you’ll be expected to tip people like hotel staff, local guides, porters, and restaurant crews.
To keep it simple (and avoid the awkward maths), your Trip Manager will organise a tipping kitty. On Day 1, they’ll collect $30 USD (or local equivalent in MAD), to cover group service tips along the way.
Heads-up: this doesn’t include a tip for your Trip Manager.

Marrakesh Mosques, Madrassas & Souks Tour
Explore Marrakesh on an organised city tour through its squares and souks, with views of mosques and madrassas along the way. Take in the colour of market stalls and the rhythm of streets shaped by trade and daily life.
Founded in the 11th century, Marrakesh has long been a crossroads of Moroccan culture. Its historic medina brings together religious architecture, traditional crafts and lively public spaces. The tour offers an introduction to the city without assuming entry to any particular monument.
Tiout Oasis & Kasbah Visit
Explore Tiout Oasis at the foot of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, where palm groves and flowing water soften the surrounding dry landscape. See the valley’s historic kasbah overlooking the oasis and encounter the setting of local Amazigh, or Berber, life.
The contrast between cultivated greenery and arid hills makes Tiout distinctive. Its palms and water channels offer a glimpse of how oasis communities have sustained farming and settlement in southern Morocco.
Taroudant’s Assarag Square
Spend time at Assarag Square, a gathering place in Taroudant’s old town. Watch the everyday movement of the square and take in the atmosphere of a city known for its souks and imposing ochre walls.
Taroudant’s fortified medina reflects its history as a regional trading centre. This shared stop in the heart of town offers a feel for local life, while independent browsing of the souks and city gates remains at your own pace.
Agafay Desert Camp Stay
Stay in a tented camp amid the rocky expanse of the Agafay Desert, with time to take in its dusky red views. The camp offers a pool for a refreshing dip against the open, stony landscape.
Agafay is a stone desert rather than a landscape of sand dunes, giving this wilderness near Marrakesh its own character. The overnight stay lets you experience its quiet and wide horizons beyond a brief scenic stop.
Agafay Desert Camel Ride
Ride a camel through the rocky Agafay Desert for a different perspective on its broad, reddish terrain. The slow pace leaves room to notice the contours of the landscape and the openness beyond camp.
Unlike Morocco’s sandy Sahara dunes, Agafay is a stony desert landscape close to Marrakesh. This optional ride is at additional cost and bookable on tour; it offers a more active way to experience the setting during your camp stay.
Moroccan Cooking Class
Prepare local dishes in a Moroccan cooking class, getting hands-on with the ingredients and methods behind the country’s food traditions. It is a chance to engage with Moroccan flavours rather than simply order them from a menu.
Moroccan home cooking draws on aromatic spices, herbs and techniques passed between generations. This optional class is at additional cost and bookable on tour. The trip overview mentions the opportunity, but does not specify the class location or dishes.
