Vienna Welcome Dinner
Meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers over dinner with wine at a local Vienna restaurant. It is a hosted introduction to the group and a chance to settle into the city over a shared meal.
Vienna’s dining culture is shaped by centuries of imperial and Central European influences. The restaurant setting offers a convivial first taste of the Austrian capital beyond its palaces and grand boulevards.
Schönbrunn Palace & Gardens
Explore Schonbrunn Palace with a Local Expert, stepping into the former summer residence of the Habsburg rulers. See richly decorated state rooms, including the Great Gallery, and rooms associated with Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth.
Discover how ceremony and private life coexisted at court, from the Hall of Mirrors, where the young Mozart performed, to the palace’s formal gardens. Gilded Rococo details and sweeping grounds express the scale of imperial Vienna.
Vienna Ringstrasse Panoramic Tour
Travel along Vienna’s Ringstrasse for a panoramic look at the capital’s monumental architecture. See the Vienna State Opera, Hofburg Imperial Residence and Austrian Parliament Building, along with Karlskirche, as the city’s grand public spaces come into view.
Built where Vienna’s old fortifications once stood, the boulevard became a showcase for 19th-century civic ambition. Its contrasting facades reveal how the imperial capital presented culture, government and prestige to the world.
Dancing without Barriers Viennese Waltz Workshop
Learn the steps of the Viennese waltz in Dancing without Barriers, an inclusive workshop held in a specially designed sensory studio. Movement and music offer a different way to encounter a dance closely associated with Vienna’s ballrooms.
The session encourages understanding of visual impairment through shared participation. The organisation’s foundation supports children from disadvantaged families and children with visual impairments, giving this hands-on cultural experience a wider purpose.
Prague Castle Courtyards & St. Vitus Cathedral — Insight Choice
Choose a Local Expert-led exploration of Prague Castle, walking its courtyards and visiting St. Vitus Cathedral. Within the castle complex, the cathedral’s Gothic architecture marks a place central to Czech religious and royal history.
Explore a seat of power that has developed over many centuries, with layers of architecture gathered around its courtyards. This is one of two included Insight Choice experiences in Prague; travellers select it instead of the Jewish Quarter walk.
Prague Jewish Quarter Walk — Insight Choice
Choose a guided walk through Prague’s Jewish Quarter with a Local Expert. Visit the Old-New Synagogue and the Jewish cemetery while hearing how Prague’s Jewish community shaped the city across generations.
Known as Josefov, the quarter preserves important traces of religious and cultural life within Prague’s historic centre. This is one of two included Insight Choice experiences: travellers select this walk instead of the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral visit.
Prague Old Town Square & Astronomical Clock
Visit Prague’s Old Town Square and watch for the hourly display of the Astronomical Clock. Its moving figures and ornate dial draw the eye to the Old Town Hall amid the square’s historic facades.
The clock has marked time in Prague since the early 15th century. In the surrounding square, the density of Gothic, Baroque and later architecture gives a sense of the city’s long life as a commercial and cultural centre.
Auschwitz Memorial & Museum Guided Visit
Visit the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum at Oswiecim with a Memorial Guide Educator. See preserved barracks, guard towers and the barbed-wire perimeter of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.
This guided visit provides historical context for the atrocities committed here during the Holocaust. The preserved site is a place of remembrance and education, inviting sober reflection on the people imprisoned and murdered and on the consequences of persecution.
Kraków Old Town, Wawel Cathedral & St. Mary’s Basilica
Explore Kraków’s historic centre with a Local Expert, visiting Wawel Cathedral and walking through the Old Town to Rynek Glówny. See the medieval Cloth Hall and step inside St. Mary’s Basilica, overlooking the great market square.
Wawel Cathedral holds the tombs of Polish monarchs and statesmen, while the square reflects Kraków’s centuries of trade and civic life. Listen for the trumpet call traditionally sounded from St. Mary’s tower.
Liszt Music Academy Tour & Student Recital
Tour Budapest’s Liszt Music Academy with a student and hear a live recital by one of its emerging musicians. The visit brings you into a working centre of musical study rather than simply viewing a historic building.
Founded in 1875 by composer and piano virtuoso Franz Liszt, the academy remains closely identified with Hungary’s musical tradition. Hearing a student perform gives that legacy an immediate, personal voice.
Budapest Pest & Buda City Tour
Explore Budapest with a Local Expert, visiting Heroes’ Square and travelling along elegant Andrássy Avenue in Pest. Across the Danube, walk the historic streets of Buda and take in views from Fisherman’s Bastion.
The two sides of the city offer distinct perspectives: Pest’s broad avenues and monuments speak to civic ambition, while Buda’s hilltop streets preserve a more intimate historic setting. The bastion’s terraces frame the river and the city below.
Hungarian Dinner with Wine in Budapest
Sit down to Hungarian specialities paired with selected wines at a dinner in Budapest. The meal offers a chance to experience local flavours together, surrounded by the city’s architecture.
Hungarian cooking draws on a rich regional pantry, while the country’s wines reflect varied growing regions. This hosted dining experience puts both traditions on the table, offering a taste of Budapest’s culture beyond its boulevards and Danube views.
Wieliczka Salt Mine
Descend into the Wieliczka Salt Mine near Kraków to explore a subterranean network of passages. See salt-carved sculptures, underground lakes and a chapel hewn from rock salt in a landscape shaped by generations of miners.
Salt extraction at Wieliczka dates back centuries, and the mine’s chambers reveal the skill and imagination of the people who worked below ground. This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.
Ceský Krumlov Medieval Town Orientation
Walk the medieval streets of Ceský Krumlov on an orientation led by your Travel Director. Follow cobbled lanes between colourful historic buildings and take in the town’s setting around a bend in the Vltava River.
Above the rooftops rises Ceský Krumlov Castle, a landmark in a town whose preserved centre reflects centuries of Bohemian history. The orientation helps reveal the layout and character of this compact riverside town.
