Christmastime at Blenheim Palace & Oxford
From a morning pick-up in your local area, we travel by coach to the historic city of Oxford. With free time to explore at our own pace – perhaps browse the inviting shops, pause for a festive treat in one of the many cafés, or simply soak up the atmosphere among the city’s famous honey-coloured streets and university buildings. As evening falls and the city begins to glow, we rejoin the coach and continue to our hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Today we travel by coach to the magnificent Blenheim Palace for a festive morning visit. Step inside this UNESCO World Heritage Site and be enchanted by its stunning State Rooms, grand architecture and rich history. Outside, the palace’s Christmas Market awaits, filled with seasonal treats, handcrafted gifts and twinkling lights to get you in the festive spirit. After a morning of exploring and shopping, we rejoin the coach for the journey home, taking with us memories of a wonderfully festive escape.

Oxford City Visit
Explore the storied streets of Oxford during an included city visit, with time to explore the University of Oxford precincts at your own pace. Stroll among honey-hued quads, independent bookshops and café-lined lanes, and pause for photos and reflection beneath graceful spires.
Spot icons such as the Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera, the Bridge of Sighs on Hertford College Lane, and Carfax Tower. Seasonal lights and choral music often drift from chapels, adding a festive note to this self-guided wander through England’s most celebrated university city.
Blenheim Palace Festive State Rooms & Christmas Market
Discover the grandeur of the season as you step inside Blenheim Palace with included admission to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander opulent State Rooms dressed in festive finery, from the soaring Great Hall to the book-lined Long Library, soaking up pine-scented garlands, twinkling trees and baroque splendor.
Explore landscaped vistas conceived by Capability Brown and browse the outdoor Christmas Market for artisan gifts and mulled wine. Designed by Vanbrugh and Hawksmoor, the palace is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Please note: the Illuminated Light Trail is not included.
