Valencia City Highlights: Old Quarter & Turia Gardens
Travel north along the coast for a full-day visit to Valencia, where you’ll join a guided walk through the medieval core: the elegant Plaza de la Virgen, Valencia Cathedral and Miguelete bell tower, and the UNESCO-listed La Lonja de la Seda. Browse the vaulted aisles of the Central Market, alive with citrus, saffron and ibérico aromas, before time for coffee beneath leafy squares.
In the afternoon, a panoramic drive reveals the green ribbon of the Turia Gardens and the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, Santiago Calatrava’s gleaming complex of white arches and reflecting pools. With city beaches and tree-lined promenades nearby, you can pause to soak in the Mediterranean atmosphere before returning to Benidorm in the early evening.
Denia & Javea Coastal Towns & Marina Strolls
Set out along the Costa Blanca to Denia, where Denia Castle crowns a hill above a working fishing harbour and polished marina. Follow the waterfront paseo, stroll the marina past bobbing yachts and café terraces, and browse boutiques tucked into sunlit streets. Views to the Montgó Massif frame this lively port town’s maritime character.
Continue to Jávea (Xàbia) to explore a whitewashed old town anchored by the fortress-like Church of San Bartolomé. Down at the curve of Arenal beach, palms sway beside low-key chiringuitos, perfect for a light lunch—perhaps arroz a banda, a local rice dish. Expect gentle sea breezes, time for photos and the chance to pause for photos and reflection before returning in the afternoon.
Guadalest Hilltop Village & Castle Viewpoint (Half Day)
Venture inland into the Marina Baixa mountains to the perched village of Guadalest, one of the Costa Blanca’s most photogenic hamlets. Arriving mid-morning, you’ll pass through a tunnel carved through the rock to reach the Castell de Guadalest and its tiny streets of whitewashed houses and artisan shops. From the citadel, gaze over the turquoise reservoir and terraced valleys below.
Founded by the Moors in the 11th century, Guadalest reveals layers of frontier history between rugged peaks like Aitana and Xortà. Your guide points out viewpoints where you can pause for photos and reflection before returning to Benidorm by early afternoon—leaving time to enjoy a free afternoon by the sea.
Christmas Day Festive Lunch at the Hotel
On Christmas Day, settle in at Hotel Port Fiesta Park for a convivial festive lunch prepared by the hotel’s culinary team. Expect generous buffet selections with traditional roasts and Mediterranean favourites, alongside seasonal touches such as Spanish sweets like turrón and a celebratory glass of cava. Warm service and holiday décor set an easy, celebratory mood.
In Spain, Navidad blends family traditions with winter sunshine, and you can soak in the holiday atmosphere among fellow travellers. Lunch is served at midday, leaving time to stroll Poniente Beach afterwards or relax to the soft rhythms of the hotel lounge.
New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner & Midnight Countdown
On New Year’s Eve, dress for a celebratory evening at the hotel’s gala dinner. Courses showcase Iberian flavours paired with cava, while live music and dancing build the energy towards midnight. The setting is festive yet relaxed—perfect for toasting new beginnings with friends old and new.
As the clock nears twelve, join the Spanish custom of the twelve grapes at midnight, one for each chime, to welcome good luck in the year ahead. Continue to count down to the New Year with the hotel’s party atmosphere before a gentle stroll back to your room—memories made and the Mediterranean outside.
Evening Entertainment at the Hotel
On selected evenings, unwind with the hotel’s entertainment programme: singers, dance shows, and light-hearted quizzes that invite you to enjoy live entertainment without leaving the lounge. Take a seat with friends and sip included drinks (served from 10am–11pm) as the music drifts through the bar and the dance floor fills.
These sociable nights usually follow dinner, offering an easy way to relax after dinner and swap stories from the day’s excursions. Expect an international mix of guests and a friendly, unhurried pace that suits Benidorm’s winter-sun mood.
Murcia City Discovery: Cathedral & River Segura
Head south to Murcia on an optional day trip to discover Murcia’s historic heart at additional cost, bookable on tour at additional cost. Explore the splendid Cathedral of Murcia with its baroque facade on Plaza Cardenal Belluga, admire the Belle Époque interiors of the Casino de Murcia, and pause for coffee among citrus-scented squares.
Later, stroll the banks of the Segura and cross the Puente de los Peligros, the city’s 18th-century stone bridge, before free time for tapas in shaded lanes. Departing in the morning and returning by early evening, this excursion reveals a cultured regional capital shaped by river, orchards and centuries of craftsmanship.
Benidorm Old Town Orientation Walk & Poniente Promenade
Early in your stay, meet your resort representative for a relaxed introduction to Benidorm’s seafront and atmospheric Old Town. Together you’ll stroll the Poniente Promenade, then thread through whitewashed lanes to the blue-domed Church of San Jaime y Santa Ana and the Balcón del Mediterráneo, the clifftop terrace that divides Levante and Poniente bays. Expect sea breezes, palm-fringed views and handy tips for cafés, markets and evening entertainment.
As you wander, learn how a humble fishing village transformed in the 1960s into Spain’s winter-sun icon. Your guide points out tapas alley on Calle Santo Domingo and the best spots for seaside sunsets, leaving you to enjoy a free afternoon exploring at your own pace. This gentle walk typically takes place in the morning.
