Christmas Carols at the Royal Albert Hall

After breakfast, we head back into London for some time at leisure. From the Houses of Parliament and The Shard to the London Eye, there are many iconic landmarks to admire. Alternatively, head to Oxford Street for a spot of retail therapy or simply take a wintry stroll through Hyde Park, one of the capital’s eight Royal Parks. We depart for home in the mid-afternoon.

On day 2 after breakfast, travel back into the city for time at leisure to explore at your own pace. Stroll the South Bank to admire the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, sweeping views toward The Shard and the London Eye, or browse the window displays along Oxford Street and Regent Street. Prefer nature? Enjoy a wintry stroll through Hyde Park, one of London’s Royal Parks.

As you wander, sense how London evolved from Roman Londinium to a modern metropolis, where medieval churches and Victorian arcades sit beside gleaming glass towers. Warm up with a café stop for tea or a mince pie and pause for photos and reflection before rejoining the coach.

We depart for home in the mid-afternoon.

Enhance your concert experience by upgrading your seat to a premium location closer to the stage (subject to availability). From the Stalls to the Grand Tier, enjoy enhanced sightlines and acoustics as choir, orchestra and organ bring the programme to life, with carols swelling beneath the Hall’s soaring dome.

This experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour with your Tour Manager or in advance, subject to venue availability. An elevated view helps you soak up the performance details—from the conductor’s cues to the glow of candles and garlands—making a special evening feel even more personal.

On day 1 in the evening, the coach drops you at Kensington Gore to head inside the Royal Albert Hall for its cherished Christmas Carols. Settle into your included Rear Circle seat and join the festive audience as conductor, choir and musicians lead sing-along carols and seasonal classics amid twinkling lights and garlands.

Opened by Queen Victoria in 1871 and dedicated to Prince Albert, this Grade I–listed landmark captivates with its soaring domed ceiling, tiered amphitheatre and the Hall’s mighty pipe organ. Between verses, pause for photos and reflection at a venue that has hosted everything from royal occasions to rock legends.

There’s time to find dinner nearby before the performance; after the applause, the coach returns you to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
