Board a wildlife river cruise at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures near Cairns and watch for crocodiles from the safety of the boat. The waterways offer a close look at one of Tropical North Queensland’s most recognisable native animals.

See how crocodiles move through their wetland environment and gain a sharper appreciation of the wildlife that inhabits Australia’s tropical north. The cruise makes the region’s distinctive ecology visible at water level, rather than from a distant lookout.

Explore the Sydney Opera House on a private guided tour and hear the stories behind one of the world’s most recognisable performance venues. Discover how its sculptural roof forms became a defining feature of Sydney Harbour.

Your guide brings the building’s architecture and performance history into focus, offering insight beyond its familiar exterior. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed landmark remains both a working arts centre and a symbol of modern Sydney.

Go behind the scenes at Bondi Surf Life Saving Club and learn about the people who help keep Australia’s best-known beach safe. A Surf Life Saving guide shares the club’s history and its continuing role in Bondi’s coastal community.

Join your guide for a Be My Guest lunch at Bondi RSL Club, with views towards the water and pale sand. Together, the club visit and hosted meal reveal a side of Bondi rooted in volunteer service, beach culture and local connection.

Cruise Sydney Harbour for waterside views of Circular Quay, leafy parklands, sheltered coves and waterfront homes. Sail beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge and see the Opera House from the water, where its roof forms stand out against the harbour skyline.

The cruise reveals how the city is shaped by its inlets and shoreline. From the busy central harbour to quieter stretches of coast, it offers a changing perspective on Sydney’s landmarks and the harbour that connects them.

Explore the Blue Mountains beyond Sydney, where eucalyptus-covered valleys and sandstone escarpments create a landscape markedly different from the coast. Look out towards the Three Sisters, the rock formation that rises above the Jamison Valley.

The region’s blue-tinged haze gives the mountains their name and lends depth to its long views. This Optional Experience offers a chance to discover the area’s scenery and is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge for an elevated view across the city and its harbour. The ascent turns a familiar Sydney landmark into an active experience, with the curve of the bridge revealing new perspectives as you climb.

From above the roadway, take in the Opera House, harbour waters and surrounding shoreline from a viewpoint few visitors experience. This Optional Experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour; participation is subject to the climb operator’s requirements.

Take part in a hands-on rainforest restoration activity with Rainforest Rescue in Tropical North Queensland. Contribute to efforts to protect the Notophyll Vine Forest, an important part of the region’s tropical landscape.

This MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience offers a practical connection to conservation: rather than only viewing the forest, you help support its future. Learn why restoring native vegetation matters for the wider rainforest ecosystem and the species that depend on it.

Cruise by catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns and explore its underwater world with a local guide. Snorkel among coral and tropical fish using the equipment provided, or stay dry and view the reef from a semi-submersible underwater deck.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a vast living ecosystem, with colour and movement visible beneath the clear water. A buffet lunch, tea and coffee are served onboard, leaving time to take in the open-water setting between reef activities.

Dine at Ochre Restaurant in Cairns, where a shared evening meal showcases Australian flavours and produce from the surrounding region. It is an opportunity to experience the tropical north through its food, as well as its landscapes.

Gather with fellow travellers over dishes shaped by local ingredients and the restaurant’s contemporary approach to Australian dining. The setting gives the included dinner a distinct sense of place, making it more than a routine stop for a meal.

Glide above the rainforest on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda, a village known for its markets, galleries and relaxed tropical setting. Return aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for a contrasting view of the forested landscape.

The journey showcases the World Heritage-listed Wet Tropics of Queensland from both above the canopy and along a railway route through the ranges. This Optional Experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.
