Additional information

Visit the San Bushmen of Omandumba in the Erongo Mountains for a hands-on cultural encounter. Try a few sounds from their click-rich language and observe traditional tracking and fire-making techniques that sustain life in arid country.

Conversations reveal ancestral knowledge of plants, hunting and storytelling passed through generations. Ethically sourced crafts are often available, supporting community livelihoods while giving a tangible link to Namibia’s oldest living culture.

Join a Swakopmund Township Tour led by local guides, meeting artisans and community leaders and learning how coastal life adapts between desert and sea. The experience concludes with a traditional dinner shared in welcoming surroundings.

Stories of migration, music and enterprise bring contemporary Namibia into focus. Sample home-style dishes and savor the easy coastal camaraderie—an authentic counterpoint to Swakopmund’s German colonial architecture by the oceanfront.

Call at Spitzkoppe, the “Matterhorn of Namibia,” to admire its ochre domes and sculpted monoliths. Stroll beneath the famous Rock Arch and frame the towering granite inselbergs against the desert sky during an unhurried photo stop.

These ancient formations rise abruptly from the plains, their smooth faces etched by time and wind. It’s a scenic pause that celebrates Namibia’s raw geology and wide-open horizons.

Glide across the sheltered lagoon to kayak at Pelican Point, skimming past cormorants and pelicans as curious Cape fur seals play around your bow. The lighthouse and dune-rimmed peninsula frame the Atlantic lagoon calm that makes this paddle so inviting.

Guides provide gear and safety tips; beginners are welcome. Keep watch for Heaviside’s dolphins and wading birds riding the Benguela breeze while you enjoy a quietly exhilarating morning on the water.

Set out on a sunset desert drive through rippling gravel plains and apricot dunes bordering Sossusvlei. As temperatures ease, oryx and ostrich often appear, and the landscape blushes under the soft light of the oldest desert on Earth.

Guides interpret star-shaped dunes, ephemeral riverbeds and hardy desert flora. Short stops at scenic viewpoints offer striking photographs and a serene close to the day.

Climb Big Daddy, one of Sossusvlei’s highest dunes, then pad down the slipface into the clay pan of Deadvlei, where ancient camelthorn trees stand in stark relief. Vast 360° dune panoramas reward every sandy step.

Inside Namib-Naukluft National Park, your guide explains how the Tsauchab River created these vlei basins and why Deadvlei’s trees endure. The combination of sculpted sand, silence and searing color is a photographer’s dream.

Enhance your morning with an optional game drive on the private reserve at Okapuka Safari Lodge near Windhoek (additional cost, bookable on tour). Traverse savannah tracks in search of giraffe, zebra and antelope against a backdrop of low, thorn-flecked hills.

Rangers share insights into conservation on private land and how seasonal rains shape wildlife movements—an engaging prelude to the country’s northern national parks.

Upgrade your coast day with an optional 4×4 adventure to Sandwich Harbour (additional cost, bookable on tour). Surf the sand tracks where towering dunes meet the Atlantic, pausing for photos as light and wind sculpt ever-shifting forms.

Guides highlight birdlife along the lagoon and the dramatic geomorphology of the Namib’s coastal fringe. It’s a high-scenery extension that pairs perfectly with the morning’s kayaking.

Mark your final evening with a convivial farewell dinner at Windhoek’s character-packed Joe’s Beerhouse (additional cost, bookable on tour). Expect hearty portions, quirky memorabilia and a cold Windhoek Lager raised to new friendships.

It’s a fun, relaxed setting to trade highlights from desert dunes to coastal kayaking before tomorrow’s goodbyes.

Gather this evening to meet your Tour Director and travel companions over a relaxed welcome dinner in Windhoek. Expect generous portions, warm Namibian hospitality and the chance to toast the adventure ahead.

Conversation flows as you preview the journey and swap first impressions of the capital. Local flavors—often game meats, fresh produce and Windhoek-brewed beers—set a confident tone for days of discovery.

Set out into Etosha National Park on a guided wildlife game drive focused on waterholes and open savannah. Scan for white-dusted elephants, giraffe, springbok and, with luck, lions moving along the edge of the vast salt pan.

Etosha’s arid landscape concentrates animals at key waterholes, creating superb viewing and photography from the vehicle. Guides share insights into desert adaptation, predator–prey dynamics and seasonal migrations in one of Southern Africa’s great parks.

Unwind with a guided sunset walk on the lodge’s reserve, tracing sandy paths as the golden savannah light deepens. Listen for francolins calling and watch acacia silhouettes sharpen against the sky while you pause for photos and reflection.

Your guide points out medicinal plants, spoor and birdlife, highlighting how species thrive between thornveld and salt pan. A gentle, close-to-nature interlude complements the day’s vehicle-based safari.

Explore Namibia’s capital as you join a guided panoramic tour taking in the neo-Gothic Christuskirche, the striking Independence Memorial Museum and the leafy Parliament Gardens. Your guide reveals how this compact city balances German-era facades with modern African energy.

Hear stories of nationhood and everyday life while cruising past murals, markets and hillside viewpoints. It’s a concise immersion that orients you to Windhoek’s neighborhoods and key landmarks without rushing.
