Trafalgar

Meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers over a hosted dinner in Toronto. It is a chance to settle into the group and share first impressions of the city.

Canada’s largest city draws its character from communities with roots around the world. The welcome dinner offers a relaxed introduction to the people you will travel with across Eastern Canada.

Discover Toronto on an orientation tour taking in Queen’s Park, the lively Dundas Square area, University Avenue and the Ontario Legislative Building. See how civic landmarks and busy entertainment streets sit side by side in Canada’s largest city.

Queen’s Park has been a focal point of provincial public life since the 19th century, while downtown’s theatres, shops and public squares reflect Toronto’s contemporary, multicultural energy.

Learn hockey skills from a professional coach in the Toronto area. Hear about a player’s routines and superstitions, step into the dressing room and put on hockey gear before taking a stick onto the ice to practise scoring.

Hockey is woven into Canadian sporting culture, from neighbourhood rinks to professional arenas. This hands-on session brings that culture closer than watching from the stands.

Visit family-run Ravine Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake to learn about its small-batch wines and sustainable growing practices. Enjoy a farm-to-table meal built around ingredients grown on the property or sourced locally, paired with a Niagara vintage.

The region’s vineyards benefit from the moderating influence of nearby Lake Ontario. At the Harber family farm, the food and wine offer a direct taste of this agricultural landscape.

Cruise towards Horseshoe Falls on a boat ride that brings you close to the base of Niagara’s largest cascade. Feel the spray and hear the roar as water pours over the curved brink into the Niagara River.

From the water, the scale of the falls becomes strikingly clear. Mist rises around the boat, offering a perspective that cannot be matched from the riverside viewpoints.

Visit Kingston on the shores of Lake Ontario and explore its historic centre at your own pace. Look out for the limestone buildings that give the city its distinctive streetscape.

Kingston served as the capital of the Province of Canada in the 1840s and retains a strong connection to the country’s political and military past. Its waterfront setting also reveals why this location became an important meeting point for lake and river travel.

Explore Canada’s capital on an introductory tour, with views of the Gothic Revival buildings of Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall and Ottawa’s downtown galleries, museums and parks. The route gives you a sense of the city’s ceremonial and civic spaces.

Rideau Hall is the official residence of Canada’s governor general, while Parliament Hill overlooks the Ottawa River. Together, these landmarks show how national institutions shape the capital’s character.

Taste a traditional sugar shack lunch at Chez Dany, a Québec cabane à sucre. Sample hearty favourites such as ham, baked beans, pancakes and sugar pie, with maple syrup providing the signature sweetness.

Sugar shacks grew out of Québec’s spring maple-harvesting tradition, when sap is collected and boiled into syrup. The communal meal gives you a taste of a culinary custom closely tied to the province’s rural heritage.

Walk the narrow streets of UNESCO-listed Old Québec with a Local Specialist. Discover the historic city’s stone-built character and learn about its French and British military past, including the stories associated with the Plains of Abraham and the fortified Citadel.

Québec City’s preserved historic district reflects centuries of life above the St. Lawrence River. A specialist-led visit helps bring its defensive setting, layered history and French-Canadian identity into focus.

Explore Montréal with a Local Specialist, taking in modern downtown, the Old Port and Place Jacques-Cartier. See the contrast between the city’s contemporary streets and the public squares of Old Montréal.

The historic port connects Montréal’s early development to the St. Lawrence River, long central to trade and travel. Along its streets and squares, your specialist introduces the places that have shaped local life across generations.

Visit Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montréal and discover the history of one of Canada’s earliest neo-Gothic churches. Take in its rich interior, with gilded details, stained-glass windows and a deep blue ceiling scattered with stars.

The basilica has stood at the heart of Montréal’s religious and civic life since the 19th century. Its elaborate design offers a vivid expression of the city’s French-Canadian heritage.

Dine with your fellow travellers in Old Montréal, sharing a hosted evening meal in the city’s historic quarter. It is an opportunity to gather around the table and reflect on the places and people encountered across Eastern Canada.

Old Montréal’s stone facades and lively streets provide a distinctive setting for the meal, bringing the city’s longstanding dining culture and historic atmosphere together.

Take in Toronto from the CN Tower, with panoramic views across the city and Lake Ontario. Step onto the Glass Floor to look down through the tower, and enjoy the open-air viewing terrace if conditions permit.

Built as a communications tower, the CN Tower has become one of Toronto’s most recognisable landmarks. This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Fly above Niagara Falls by helicopter for an aerial view of the river and its powerful cascades. From above, see the broad curve of Horseshoe Falls and the surrounding landscape in a single sweep.

The flight offers a different sense of the falls’ shape and scale from the boat-level experience. This optional excursion is at additional cost and bookable on tour, subject to availability and suitable flying conditions.

Meet an Algonquin host at Madahòkì Farm near Ottawa and join a guided exploration of displays introducing Indigenous histories and cultures across Canada. Learn about the meaning and rhythm of a Pow Wow dance, and explore a marketplace supporting Indigenous makers.

The visit offers an opportunity to hear Indigenous perspectives from your hosts rather than only reading about them. It also supports the farm’s work to create space for cultural sharing and economic opportunity.
