Athens to Santorini Island Hopping | Hotels | 2027 route map

Hello island lovers! Welcome to Greece, and welcome to the best holiday of your life. It’s a big call to make on day 1, but we’re making it! Take a minute to unpack and settle in to our hotel before we meet up this evening. First your Trip Manager will give you the rundown of what to expect over the next 8 days, then exchange proper hellos with your fellow travellers over an included dinner.

Meals: Dinner

With no time to waste, we’ll start our Greek island hopping adventures today with our first destination: Mykonos. Let’s do this! Two nights on the island of Mykonos, how did we get so lucky? Even the boat ride across the Aegean will have you awe struck and in love. Tonight, you’ll have the option to join an exploration of Mykonos by night on a locally guided walking tour of the town’s cobbled streets.

Meals: Breakfast

Get ready for a day full of viewing coastal windmills, stuffing your face with olives, feta, and tzatziki. We’ll stroll down storybook streets dotted with those gorgeous blue domes and we’ll pick up some evil eye ornaments along the way to keep the bad vibes away. And this is all before you’ve even taken a dip in the ocean! Doesn’t get much better than this… The day is yours to soak up the sunshine and play in the sea.

Meals: Breakfast

This morning we’re on to our next Greek island, Paros. Let’s spare a thought for all those travellers who only get to visit just one Greek Island, and then remember how lucky we are. Beaches, naturally sculpted swimming coves, a Byzantine church and traditional villages: we must be in Paros. You’re free to get into the sun and sea vibes. Feel like exploring even further? Sign up for an optional trip to a local, family-run winery before heading to a local village and finishing off in the fishing village of Naoussa.

Meals: Breakfast

Another day, another Greek Island delight. Hold tight – today you have the chance to sail around Paros and some of the stunning islands around it – for a full day of sunbathing, swimming, relaxing, soaking-up-the-sunshining. Later tonight, we’ll tuck into an included dinner at a local restaurant, before heading out to sample the local nightlife.

Meals: Breakfast,Dinner

Paros, it’s been magical – but today we’re taking to the seas again, this time in search of Greece’s most insta-famous island: Santorini. Santorini, we have arrived! Tonight you’ll have the chance to join us on a cruise and take in the iconic Fira.

Meals: Breakfast

Rise and shine, Greek Island travellers! The island of Santorini won’t explore itself. Today is your day to take a swim at Perissa Beach, eat the local specialty of fried tomato balls known as domatokeftedes, or roam and explore. You can even opt to take a visit to incredible Oia followed by a visit to the black sand beach of Santorini, or sign up to attend a Greek wedding (some plates will be sacrificed…).

Meals: Breakfast

And with that, the trip comes to an end. From Santorini, you’re free to make your way home… or keep going. Who’s for Cyprus? Or Turkey? The whole Aegean lies at your feet (literally) and you have a boatload of new buds to go exploring with!

Additional information

Join a locally guided walking tour through Mykonos Town’s maze of sugar-cube lanes as twilight paints the facades. Trace the waterfront of Little Venice, hear legends of pirates and traders, and photograph the hilltop line of Kato Mili windmills against the Aegean glow.

Peek into the courtyard of Panagia Paraportiani and uncover tips for late-night spots and tucked-away bakeries. This optional experience is at additional cost and bookable on tour.

Visit a family-run winery to sample Paros PDO expressions of Monemvasia and Mandilaria, crafted in small batches. Walk the vines, learn about limestone soils and Aegean breezes, and taste whites and rosés alongside local bites.

Continue to stone-stepped Lefkes for quiet Cycladic lanes and church squares, then on to Naoussa where Venetian ruins frame a lively harbor. Optional experience; additional cost, bookable on tour.

Cast off on a full-day sailing adventure, skimming past Paros’ coves toward Antiparos and the luminous Blue Lagoon of Panteronisi. Drop anchor for swim stops in translucent water and snorkel over sandy shelves and sea caves beneath sun-warmed cliffs.

Feel the Aegean breeze, lounge on deck between dips, and watch the sea shift from turquoise to sapphire. Optional experience; additional cost, bookable on tour.

Set sail to cruise the caldera, tracing the volcanic rim with cinematic views of white villages clinging to black cliffs. Swim near the Nea Kameni hot springs and photograph Thirassia and the lighthouse of Akrotiri as the light softens.

As evening deepens, the boat positions for a sunset beneath Oia, when the sky drifts from peach to violet across the caldera. Optional experience; additional cost, bookable on tour.

Visit Oia to wander marble lanes, admire blue-domed churches, and gaze from balcony viewpoints across the submerged crater. Browse small galleries and snap classic Cycladic doorways splashed in cobalt and ochre.

Continue to a black sand beach—Perissa or Perivolos—for a swim and a lounger by the Aegean. Volcanic grains warm underfoot, and beach bars set the relaxed island tempo. Optional experience; additional cost, bookable on tour.

Step into a candlelit courtyard to attend a traditional-style Greek wedding with actors, musicians, and free-flowing kefi. Clap along to live music and dancing, sip local wine, and join the circle as laughter fills the night.

Between courses of meze and seasonal dishes, learn meanings behind toasts and the joyful ritual of plate smashing. Staged in central Fira. Optional experience; additional cost, bookable on tour.

Explore Fira, Santorini’s cliff-hugging capital, wandering whitewashed lanes that unfurl along the caldera rim. Browse artisan boutiques, pause at terrace viewpoints, and capture photogenic balconies cascading toward the Aegean and alleys scented with bougainvillea.

Step inside the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral or admire its arches beside the sea of volcanic blue. Learn how a Bronze Age eruption shaped these dramatic cliffs and the island’s bright Cycladic architecture.

Savor an included dinner at a harbor-side taverna in Naoussa or Parikia, where fishing boats bob within view. Taste Parian flavors: grilled octopus with vinegar, Aegean-caught fish, tomato–caper salads and creamy local cheeses, paired with a chilled island wine.

This relaxed meal channels the Greek spirit of philoxenia—warm hospitality that turns tables into gatherings. Expect unhurried courses, conversation, and a seaside atmosphere that invites a final stroll along the quay.

Meet your Tour Director for a concise orientation and connect with your group over an included welcome dinner at a classic taverna in Plaka or Psyrri. Share mezze, grilled souvlaki and crisp salads while raising a glass of local wine to the week ahead.

Feel the city’s evening energy as cafés hum beneath the Acropolis aglow. This warm beginning blends practical tips with Greek hospitality, setting you up for confident island-hopping.
