After breakfast at our hotel, take the chance to relax at the hotel or see the local sights. Later on, we enjoy an early dinner at our hotel before boarding the coach to Andrea Bocelli’s hometown of Lajatico for the highly anticipated concert. Andrea Bocelli Concert at the Teatro del Silenzio
Experience Andrea Bocelli live at the Teatro del Silenzio, an open-air venue near his hometown of Lajatico. Take your seat among rolling Tuscan hills for a concert where the landscape is as much a part of the setting as the stage.
Look for the artworks and sculptures displayed around the venue, which hosts performances only on select occasions. The approach from the coach park includes a downhill slope, with an uphill walk back following the concert.
Visit to Lucca
Explore Lucca’s historic centre at your own pace, wandering its narrow streets and handsome piazzas within the city’s remarkably intact Renaissance walls. The broad, tree-lined ramparts give this Tuscan city a character distinct from its neighbours.
Lucca is also the birthplace of composer Giacomo Puccini. Seek out traces of its musical heritage, admire the facades of its churches, or pause in a square to take in the rhythm of local life. Any individual attraction entries are at your own expense.
Visit to Florence
Discover Florence, the heart of the Renaissance, with time to explore its streets and piazzas independently. Admire the city’s distinctive architecture, from the marble-clad exterior of Santa Maria del Fiore to the medieval buildings around Piazza della Signoria.
Florence’s artistic legacy is visible throughout its historic centre, shaped by generations of patrons, architects and artists. Stroll towards the Arno to see the Ponte Vecchio, or choose the separate optional guided walk for a closer introduction to the city’s stories.
Visit to Beaune
Explore Beaune’s characterful streets during an included visit to this Burgundian town. Browse its squares and historic buildings at your own pace, with the opportunity to find a spot for lunch.
Beaune has long been associated with Burgundy’s wine trade, and its old centre reflects that heritage. Look out for the Hôtel-Dieu’s distinctive roofline: the former charitable hospital is one of the town’s best-known landmarks. Entry to individual attractions is not included.
Guided Walking Tour of Florence
Join an optional guided walking tour of Florence to uncover the stories behind the city’s celebrated landmarks. A guide brings context to its Renaissance architecture and public spaces, helping you make sense of the artistic and political history visible in the streets.
This is a more in-depth way to experience Florence than the included independent visit. The walking tour is at additional cost and bookable on tour; specific sights and the route may vary.
